PSN will be down for most of the day

Sony will be taking the PlayStation Network offline today for some good old fashioned scheduled maintenance. With that being the case, it’s best if you don’t make any plans to spend time on the PlayStation Network. The maintenance will last from 8am Pacific to 9pm in the evening. That’s pretty much the whole day.

Mandatory Xbox Live update does nothing noticeable

The next time you boot up your Xbox 360, you’ll be prompted to download and install a mandatory update that only takes a few minutes to complete. Don’t get excited. This isn’t the big dashboard update that will be coming later in the fall. There are no new features with this update.

PSN maintenance goes down today, you can still play online

It’s time for everyone’s favorite event – PlayStation Network maintenance! Sony will be doing untold things to the PlayStation Network today from 8am to 7pm Pacific time. Chances are by the time you read this, maintenance would have already begun. This is just a head’s up so you won’t think the network is being attacked again.

PSN maintenance scheduled for today [Update]

Today is the day the PlayStation Store is expected to be brought back online. A memo sent to Sony’s developing and publishing partners indicated that after the PlayStation Store re-opening, content updates will be pushed out twice a week. It doesn’t seem like a coincidence that PSN would be undergoing maintenance today after reading the contents of the memo. If anything, it appears as if Sony is on track to restoring the PlayStation Network to its former glory.

PlayStation Network maintenance forces solitude on PS3, PSP owners today

Time for PlayStation Network maintenance. Why? Nobody knows! Well, that isn’t entirely accurate. I’m sure Sony knows why it’s temporarily taking away PlayStation Network access for millions of users today (March 9, 2011), but it just hasn’t revealed those motivations to the general public. This means everyone in North America and Europe just has to sit tight and make do with offline games. Dragon Age II just came out – go play that…

More PSN maintenance scheduled for today

PlayStation Network maintenance seems very common these days. This is the third month in a row PSN has gone done for housekeeping. This time the network will be offline for several hours. How long? Try eight and a half hours. If you work a normal 8 hour day and start right now, you may get home just as PSN comes back up.

PSN undergoes maintenance Tuesday, PSN store updates today

Less than one month ago the PlayStation Network went offline for scheduled maintenance. During that time we were forced to do something that didn’t involve the marriage between the PS3 and the internet. We hope you have plans tomorrow (September 21, 2010) because PSN is going offline again. Maintenance will be conducted between 8am Pacific until around 5pm Pacific.

PSN goes offline for maintenance

If you’ve tried to log on to the PlayStation Network, chances are you haven’t been able to connect. No need to start a panic because it’s all perfectly normal. Sony is performing maintenance on PSN today (August 30, 2010) until 12:30 Pacific time.

PlayStation Network down for maintenance

According to the PlayStation blog, this “regularly scheduled” maintenance will keep online services for the PlayStation Network down from 8am Pacific to 8:30pm Pacific. Though the blog insists that this could last for “several hours,” some simple math seems to come to the conclusion that this will last 12 hours, otherwise known as all day.

Xbox Live Zune Marketplace down for 24 hours

From 10pm (PST) for up to 24 hours, the Zune Marketplace will be inaccessible. Microsoft says it is working to improve the Zune Marketplace’s overall service on Xbox Live, but did not give any specifics on what that means. During this downtime you will be unable to rent or purchase videos from the Zune Marketplace. The library that you already have set up will continue to work just fine.
