Review: Nano Assault for Nintendo 3DS

Nano Assault

This is the type of game that 3D was meant for. I mean, yes, there have been and will be games that look better on the Nintendo 3DS, and there have been and will be games where the use of 3D is more dramatic. But I have yet to play a 3DS game where the effect was this cool, this stylized, and this fun to show off to friends.

Nano Assault now available for Nintendo 3DS

The deadly Nanostray virus has been released upon humanity today, and it’s up to you to save civilization. Majesco Entertainment’s Nano Assault—now available for Nintendo 3DS—sends gamers into a beautifully rendered 3D cellular world to destroy the deadly virus with their microscopic Nanite ship. Mysophobes will want to approach this one with caution.

New round of Nano Assault 3DS screens released

The release of Nano Assault 3DS has been pushed back from November 22 to December 5, 2011,but that’s just giving Majesco more time to release images of the germ-infested shump. Developed by Shin’En and retailing for $29.99, this action shooter tasks gamers with using a microscopic Nanite ship through an “electron microscope inspired world” to stop a deadly Nanostray virus from spreading and contaminating civilization.

Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic now being served

Nintendo 3DS owners looking for some culinary gaming can now get some meals prepared in time for Thanksgiving. Majesco Entertainment has announced that Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic is now available for Nintendo 3DS. New recipes, new ways to play, and new kitchen activities and dish combinations will show that the “… iconic kitchen cutie has some tricks up her oven mitts!”

Majesco releases new screens for Nano Assault 3DS

Majesco will be releasing Nano Assault for Nintendo 3DS on November 22nd, and to whet you’re update, they’ve just released a batch of new screens. The images show off a lot of the environments and…germs you’ll be fighting. I spent some time playing an early build of Nano Assault at E3 2011, and even at that stage I was amazed by the fluid gameplay and stunning graphics.

Review: Camping Mama: Outdoor Adventures for DS

Mama’s been in the kitchen, nursery, studio and backyard. It’s time to get a little more adventurous. Time to head into the wild. Because what family doesn’t need to know how to live off the grid and in the wilderness? Time to build some character!

Fortunately with Camping Mama: Outdoor Adventures, you can do all that character building while inside an air conditioned house, cozy on a fluffy couch and perhaps with some milk and cookies nearby. Think of it as a snapshot of all the hard work you’d normally have to go outside and do in direct sunlight, perhaps even getting all dirty and sweaty…

Review: BloodRayne: Betrayal for PSN

I don’t know about you, but when I thought of BloodRayne, I thought of a couple sub-par games and a really bad movie. While I didn’t dislike the franchise in general, I didn’t think too highly of it either. It wasn’t until I started to see footage of WayForward’s BloodRayne: Betrayal that I began to think this series could come back in a very good way. After playing BloodRayne: Betrayal, I’m now positive that there is a place for BloodRayne on today’s and tomorrow’s generation of consoles. The fact is, BloodRayne: Betrayal is one of the finest downloadable games I’ve played this year.

Majesco’s actually bringing Spy Kids: All the Time in the World to the DS

It’s time for yet another movie game announcement. It isn’t a happy or perhaps even fun movie-game announcement though, about something like Lego Harry Potter or the almost tolerable Captain America: Super Soldier. No, we’re heading into “Coming soon to a bargain bin near you” territory with Majesco’s latest announcement. Brace yourself, because it’s releasing Spy Kids: All the Time in the World on the DS…

Get Mama when you pre-order Cooking Mama 4

Majesco’s thought up a pre-order promotion that is just sure to get all the 3DS owners pre-ordering it’s latest 3DS game. Get this – if you commit to buying Cooking Mama 4: Kitchen Magic, you’ll get to take Mama home with you. Yes, for the first time, you can meet Mama in the plush.

Now, this pre-order is a GameStop exclusive…

Preview: Nano Assault for Nintendo 3DS

Nano Assault is scheduled to ship in November, a couple months after the U.S. release of Star Fox 64 3D. The two games will offer different experiences, of course, and are aiming at slightly different audiences. But if my E3 demo was any indication, Nano Assault looks to be the more intense and visually impressive flight shooter. We’ll find out this fall…if the deadly nanostray virus hasn’t destroyed humanity by then, of course.
