Amazon, Gamestop accepting LittleBigPlanet pre-orders

Last week (August 5, 2008) SCEA marketing manager Mark Vallador wrote a post on the PlayStation Blog about some interesting items that will be given out to anyone who pre-orders LittleBigPlanet. Sony hopes LittleBigPlanet, related incentives will help sell PS3s

When talking about potential blockbuster PS3 titles for 2008, chances are LittleBigPlanet‘s name will come up. LBP has demonstrated its originality and creation possibilities several times over the past year and Sony is giving it a big marketing push as its release draws closer. LBP is looking to be a big time system seller for Sony because it appeals to a wide variety of gamers. Early previews have also noted LBP‘s ease of use and wide array of clever gameplay.

SCEA marketing manager Mark Valledor confirmed Sony’s dedication to the game in an interview with Advertising Age:

LittleBigPlanet pre-order treats entice the mind

The hype machine behind the PS3 exclusive title LittleBigPlanet continues to pick up steam as we near closer to its October 2008 release date. We know of several truly unique gameplay features such as the ability to capture images using the PlayStation Eye and placing them into the game, YouTube upload support and, of course, Trophies.
