E3 2011: Konami pre-E3 press conference wrapup
Let’s get the big announcement out of the way: Hideo Kojima warned not to expect Metal Gear Solid Rising anytime soon. I know a bunch of you just stopped reading and went off to curse Konami’s name. That doesn’t mean you won’t be getting plenty of chances to hang out with Snake and Otacon though. In November, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection will combine MGS 2, 3 and Peacewalker on Xbox 360 and PS3, along with the customary trophy and achievement support. Snake Eater gets a reimagining on the 3DS complete with a feature that lets you use the portable’s camera to create camouflage. That’s slated to release sometime in 2011.
E3 2011: Konami gets the jump with E3 “pre show”
Konami can’t wait for the Electronic Entertainment Expo June 7-9 to crow about the games it has to offer. It will hold special “pre show” events in several cities including Los Angeles, Toronto and Mexico City on June 2.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising to surface in 2012
Metal Gear Solid: Rising has been bumped from 2011 to 2012. Kotaku revealed the unfortunate delay news today. It looks like people will have to wait a while longer to know what happened to Raiden between Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots…
TGS 2010: Konami booth to have 8 of its own games, 6 from other publishers
Konami’s among the many companies announcing its Tokyo Game Show 2010 plans. Which is to be expected, of course. The event is September 16-19, 2010, and companies want attendees to be informed well in advance so people know whether or not they want to visit certain booths. Konami’s booth will be quite full this year, with eight new Konami games and six games from other, smaller publishers on display…
E3 2010: Raiden slices and dices in Metal Gear Solid Rising
Metal Gear has always placed a great emphasis on stealth and secrets and Konami is treating the newest installment with “if we tell you we’ll have to kill you” care. Thus, we aren’t leaving E3 with exactly a full dossier on Metal Gear Solid:Rising. I can tell you that swordplay is going to be a huge game mechanic and featured prominently in the footage that was shown.
E3 2010: Microsoft’s press conference wrapup
Kinect met the world today and has the potential to be a game changer. Here’s our recap of the Microsoft press event and more on your Xbox 360′s entertainment evolution.
Call of Duty:Black Ops was the first game up and map packs and other exclusive content will appear first on the 360 through 2012 thanks to an agreement between Microsoft and Activision.
In a typically Kojima – ish trailer for Metal Gear Solid Rising, Raiden cuts up a large robot and some watermelons – with his trusty sword.
Raiden to star in his own game titled Metal Gear Solid: Rising for the Xbox 360
The Xbox 360 will finally be receiving some man-loving from Raiden (first appeared in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty for the PS2 and subsequently in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the PS3) who adorns the stage in Metal Gear Solid: Rising.
The announcement of Raiden receiving his own game shouldn’t come as much of a surprise to fans what with the image that Hideo Kojima ended his Game Developer’s Converence 2009 keynote with all the way back in March 2009.
Besides the game’s invasion onto the Xbox 360…
