Gamertell’s 2010 Wii Holiday Gift Guide
Black Friday is this Thursday (November 26, 2010) and there have been a lot of major Wii releases recently. Which means shopping for gifts could be harder than ever. To make the experience a little less painful and make browsing through all those Black Friday ads easier, Gamertell’s compiled a list of 10 Wii games released in 2010 that are on a lot of people’s wishlists this holiday season.
Each game has a brief summary and a quick mention of who will actually want it, so you don’t inadvertently get a game like Babysitting Mama for your 47 year old, gun aficionado Stan. (That would be awkward!) All the ESRB ratings are included too, so you won’t upset any parents by buying a game that’s a little too mature for their child…
Amazon’s Prelude to Black Friday sale provides 20 under $20 stocking stuffers (updated)
Amazon’s been offering Prelude to Black Friday video games sales all this week, and today (November 19, 2010) its sale is a little more low-key. The site is hoping to provide potential shoppers with stocking stuffers. It’s taken 20 games which normally cost more than $20 and cut the price so they’re under $20. The only bad part is that none qualify for that free shipping option if you buy just one game, since they’re all under $25…
Nintendo to offer game demos at malls across the country
Just when you thought you’d hate going to the mall to shop for the holidays, Nintendo decides to actually make the experience fun. From November 22nd to December 19th 2010, the company will set up demo stations at 23 malls across the country for you (and of course, your kids) to check out some games that you may or may not want to buy for Christmas…or as a present to yourself.
Gamertell Review: Metroid Other M
If you are a Metroid fan at any level and have not yet bought this, go for it. Metroid: Other M is a fun and innovative game. The graphics are impressive, the story is engaging and the action is a good combination of nostalgic nods and modern game play.
However, if you do not like long cut scenes and the idea of juggling your controller mid-game is not appealing to you, you will likely be too frustrated too early in the game to get much out of it. Click through to find out why…

Nintendo’s bringing 10 games to Gamescom 2010
Surprise! Nintendo is going to attend GamesCom in Cologne, Germany! Yeah, I know, that shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. Nintendo’s bringing 10 new games, and will also have every DS and Wii Mario game there to play and Charles Martinet, Mario’s voice actor making an appearance.
Let’s see what games will be showing up at the show! Remember, since this is a European event only the European release dates are shown for each game…
