King of Kong director to helm WarGames remake
Deadline reports that King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters director Seth Gordon will head up a remake of 1983 Matthew Broderick hit War Games. In that flick, Broderick plays a hacker who endangers the world by breaking into government computers to play what he thinks is a video game.
This was one of the first starring vehicles for Broderick, who would later go on to immortality as Ferris Bueller. The subject matter seems more timely than ever in the post LulzSec era.
CES: Xbox Live reaches major milestone and announces additional content
During one of the Microsoft’s CES 2008 presentations, the company’s president of Entertainment and Devices Division, Robbie Bach, announced two major achievements for Xbox Live. The first dealt with the unexpected success of the service. Xbox Live now has 10 million subscribers, and reached this figure during the December holidays.
