There will be a Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 3 for Wii and Xbox 360
Glee‘s still doing well, which means Konami isn’t about to forget about the profitable Karaoke Revolution Glee games. On the contrary, the developer and publisher has decided that it’s time to step it up a notch. Previously, the Karaoke Revolution Glee series has been a Wii exclusive. That will all change with Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 3, as it’ll be appearing on the Wii and Xbox 360 on November 22, 2011.
So, Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 3 pretty much follows the same formula as the previous two games…
Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 2 released, only has 20 songs
If you’ve got a Gleek in your household, then Konami has a way to make them really happy, again. It’s another Wii Glee video game! Time for Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 2. Grab it for a fan you know and they’ll be content for a couple hours and you’ll probably free up the TV for some prime time viewing. Unless they decide you have to sing with them – the sequel does allow duets and group sing-a-longs, you know.
For the most part, Karaoke Revolution Glee: Volume 2 is more of the same, with different songs…
Microsoft is too green to let Kinect power on the Xbox 360
Among Kinect’s futuristic menu controlling features is the ability to give voice commands to the Xbox 360. You can tell your Xbox 360 to start up a game or control music playback with ease. The one thing you can’t do is order the Xbox 360 to turn on or off. Besides the obvious privacy concerns regarding Kinect’s microphone being on at all times, Microsoft didn’t think it was environmentally friendly to implement this feature.
Kinect won’t transmit data without permission
Kinect was released today in the United States. Times Square was jam- packed with people waiting in line to get their hands on Microsoft’s controller-less peripheral. Once set-up in the home, Kinect has eyes and ears on everything within range. Since Kinect is attached to a console connected to the internet, it’s understandable if people are concerned with what Kinect is doing behind the scenes. No one wants Kinect taking photos or audio of them when they aren’t aware. Microsoft says this will never happen.
Here’s some of what you’ll hear in Karaoke Revolution Glee
The second season of Glee is well underway! In fact, a rerun from season 1 is even airing tonight, and next week is the anticipated “The Rocky Horror Glee Show” episode. So it shouldn’t be surprising that the Glee Wii video game will be out soon. Next month, to be exact, on November 9, 2010.
Karaoke Revolution Glee will include 35 songs and video clips from the first season of Glee. Plus there’ll probably be stills, since there’s an in-game Scrapbook to fill. The full tracklist hasn’t been revealed yet, which is a little sad, but Konami has announced 10 songs that will absolutely be in the game…
Upcoming THQ game exposes your lies
Truth or Lies is a pass-the-mic multiplayer game that is set on calling you out. Up to eight players pass a microphone around and answer questions as they appear. The microphone is supposed to detect stress levels and tell if you’re lying. Since it wouldn’t be as fun (or destructive) to only answer 3,000 questions the game proposes, ToL lets you create your own questions as well.
Gamertell Review: Able Planet’s True Fidelity PS500MM stereo headphones
The True Fidelity PS500MM stereo headset claims to offer boosted sound that will not harm your ears.
Linx Audio, the tech behind this headphone’s supposedly superior sound, was originally developed with long-term audio aficionados in mind, especially those who cranked things up to 11 way too often. By remixing the sound on the fly so it sounds louder without actually being louder, Able Planet claims its headset will save your cochlea from wear.

Wii Speak can be purchased used after all
When Nintendo revealed that the Wii Speak Channel would be enabled through a one-off download ticket, consumers and retailers were a little disgruntled. Like most Nintendo peripherals, a lot of them are impulse buys that eventually make their way to the used game accessory bins in mom and pop shops or re-sold in GameStop’s plastic baggies all over the world.
Now, however, disgruntlement can be set aside as Nintendo as seemingly changed their minds about the one off download ticket system. According to Wii Fanboy, Nintendo of Europehas made the following statement regarding the download tickets:
Any consumer who may have misplaced their Wii Download Ticket number for the Wii Speak Channel or require a new number following a Wii exchange may contact their local Nintendo Customer Services department, where they can request a replacement Wii Download Ticket number.
That essentially means you can buy a used version of the microphone and get…
Important Importables: PSP peripherals
While the DS has won fans the world over with its unusual gimmicks and touching interactive games, the PSP is getting love for its mature games and practical applications. Rather than trying to beat the DS by making the PSP appear even more foolish with strange extras, developers have decided to take the higher road.
With its peripherals the PSP tries to make itself more useful in everyday life. There are no card readers or additional controllers here. Rather than relying on gimmicks, the add-ons are ingenious items that you don’t even realize you need until you see what they can do.
And while the DS add-ons are designed to work only with games, the PSP’s are designed to make life in the real world easier or more interesting. Even when the extras don’t work as well as they claim, they still deserve points for trying.
Sadly, all of the following extras are only available overseas. It is a tragedy, because each add-on could be immensely useful to PSP owners the world over. All of the extras in Japan allow the PSP to act as a translator, camera, television and GPS unit…
