Skyrim mod turns dragons into Fluttershy from My Little Pony

skyrim mod my little pony dragon fluttershy

I hope you’re not eating lunch right now, because what you’re about to see might just ruin it. People like to mod PC games. You know, make them extra special with extra features, characters, equipment and scenarios. The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim is one of those kinds of games. Know what people also like? That more »

Hacker already gets Vita running Genesis games

You may not like Sony, but you have to feel bad for their handhelds. The PSP was an easy target for pirates, as many people turned to custom firmware that was incredibly simple to install on the systems. I mean hell, if you had a PSP with the right kind of official firmware you could more »

Xbox 360 and PC Skyrim saves are interchangeable

The PC and Xbox 360 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim have more in common than we originally thought. Apparently save files on the Xbox 360 can be transferred to the PC and vice versa with very little tinkering. You’ll need to have access to both versions of the game for this to work. It may not be worth it to spend full price on two copies of Skyrim right now, but when the inevitable sale hits, you can have the best of both worlds.

Now you can play Skyrim without spiders or spider webs

I both hate, and am terrified by spiders. I will never watch the movie Arachnophobia, and am way too jumpy whenever I have to fight spiders in videogames. For some reason, developers insist on making giant spiders a part of fantasy games. This is bad news for people like me, especially if spiders are common enemies. In Skyrim, spiders make an appearance early on and can be found in caves or just walking around outside for some reason. Thanks to a wonderful human being named Luthien Anarion, spiders in Skyrim can be replaced with bears or mudcrabs.

Xperia Play’s PSOne emulator hacked, now can play PSOne ISOs

Sony is not going to be happy today. See, somebody’s just figured out a way to crack open its latest baby, the Xperia Play. The Xperia Play is a smartphone with the ability to play original PlayStation games on it, and until now people had to make do with the PSOne games Sony was releasing via the PlayStation Suite. I say until now, because an Android developer named Yifan Lu found a way to get the phone’s included emulator to recognize game files not acquired through Sony.

What makes Yifan Lu’s work special is that it’s actually based entirely on the PlayStation emulator Sony has built into the Xperia Play…

PS3 only does everything, even Kinect

Shantanu Goel may be the hero for PS3 fanboys and fangirls right now. He’s managed to create a bridge between consoles. You don’t just need an Xbox 360 for Kinect now, because if you’re tech-savvy enough, you can use it with your PS3. I guess you didn’t need to buy Move after all.

Goel is the creator of a new Kinect hack. It uses various programs together, like the DIYPS3Controller DualShock 3 emulator, PrimeSense Libraries for Kinect, NITE Libraries and OpenNI Libraries to allow people to use a computer as sort of a conduit to allow the PS3 to recognize and successfully use the Kinect.

World of Starcraft in the works….er, sorta

No, it’s not April Fools’ Day yet. That is a screenshot you see of the long-awaited MMO World of StarCraft, which is meant to take place in the StarCraft universe. Oh, but there’s still a catch, see. This game is not made by Blizzard. Rather, it’s designed by a group of loyal fans.

Project Nevada does what Fallout: New Vegas didn’t

Bethesda has done a great job of supporting the modding community. It has provided tools for gamers to make alterations to its games as much as they like. Some clever creators have made drastic changes to games such as Oblivion and Fallout 3. Best of all, the entire PC community can download these mods for free. One of the bigger alterations for Fallout: New Vegas comes from a mod called Project Nevada.

Evil Controllers holding 12 @ 12 sale December 12

If you need a modded PS3 or Xbox 360 controller, then you’re going to have to stake out Evil Controllers’ website on December 12, 2010. The company will be holding a very special, very exclusive 12 @ 12 sale promotion. For a limited time, 12 Evil Controllers controllers will greatly reduced. The company hasn’t revealed how much they’ll be, but did use the word “absurdly” when describing the sale prices…

Doom 2 Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch mod demo now available

Apparently, fans have decided that the world is reading for a FPS Mega Man game. Well, one fan – Mike Hill. Everyone else just agreed with him and cheered him on. He has spent quite a bit of time working on a Doom 2 mod called Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch. Now, the first demo has been released and people can try it out for themselves.

Even though the version of Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch released is just a demo, there’s still a bit to do and see. You can fight in four different maps, there are items like E-tanks available, 10 different weapons from the Mega Man games can be found in levels and there are even five skins. You can practice playing alone even, before finding a server so you can head into the multiplayer mode.

Check out the Mega Man 8-Bit Deathmatch trailer, if you’re still unsure about the game…
