Well, it’s over. If there was ever an ultimate shovelware competition, then it’s just been won. Activision has decided to give people fair warning that the biggest and baddest video game cash-in is coming. Before 2011 ends, DreamWorks Super Star Kartz will invade the 3DS, DS, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360. You better keep reading, so you know what you’re up against.

And the next video game to be based on a movie is – Monsters vs. Aliens
Video games based on movies, especially kids’ movies, are practically a given, so no one should be surprised that Monsters vs. Aliens will be appearing on the small and big screens at the same time. Dreamworks’ Monsters vs. Aliens is coming out March 27, 2009, and Activision, Beenox Inc. and Amaze Entertainment are hoping to have the DS, PC, PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 games ready at the same time.
Monsters vs. Aliens sounds like a typical action game. As the five film monsters – B.O.B., Ginormica, Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D., The Missing Link and Insectosaurus, players must go through 12 levels to save the world from Gallaxhar and the aliens. Of course, only four are available in a single player mode, as the press release states Dr. Cockroach is only available in multiplayer. Each monster has a special talent or ability, and players will have to use all of them to accomplish the goals of different levels…
