I’m going to level with you – I’m typically extraordinarily cheap when it comes to buying accessories for my computers or consoles. My house is littered with off-brand controllers, $5 mice, carrying cases found at Goodwill and, my personal favorite, roughly 15 pairs of dollar store headphones. My attitude had typically been that I could get by with the bare minimum, because I’m just looking to get the job done.

Time for extravagance! World of Warcraft gamers who are really serious about that particular MMO tend to want the best controllers they can get, so their in-game performance doesn’t suffer. SteelSeries wants to both capitalize on that and fascilitate easier gaming for those individuals with its new mouse. Well, GameStop’s sale ad for May 13-17, 2011 is out and there are quite a few interesting promotions to keep in mind when shopping for games. It’s a great week for picking up PS3 Move games and accessories, for example. Plus, there are a number of other discounts that could appeal to both console and PC gamers.

Visceral Games is on a bit of a roll when it comes to helping out its gaming community. Last week, a girl named Ashley received an autographed copy of Dead Space 2 and a custom drawing from Visceral after her dog broke her Dead Space 2 disc. Now Visceral Games is hard at work to implement a patch for the PC version of Dead Space 2 in order to assist disabled gamers.
