One of the most popular New Years resolutions is to get in shape, but it’s also one of the hardest ones to keep. That’s because it requires people to actually rearrange their lives. Amazon takes 20% off bestselling games, offers 50% more trade-in credit

Amazon’s Countdown to Black Friday continues, and it turns out today’s video game section countdown isn’t as boring as it could have been. Initially, it seemed like Amazon was just going to do up to an additional 50% bonus in trade-in credit on select games. It is doing that, but it also had a video game Lightning Deal earlier today and had up to 20% off select bestselling games and accessories as its general Deal of the Day.

First, the Lightning Deal for today was the Razer Imperator Ergonomic Laser Gaming Mouse. It was available at 6:45am PST for $53.99. The normal price is $79.99. It didn’t sell out, but a few people did end up claiming it.

Now, let’s move on to the general Deal of the Day that you can still sift through. Be cautions when shopping, as some of these game and accessory deals aren’t super awesome. A few are even only a dollar off…

E3 2011: EyePet & Friends moves in this November

If one EyePet is cute, then two EyePets has got to be the ultimate in adorability. Or at least, just super cute. E3 2011 attendees got to decide that for themselves, since Sony made sure it had EyePet & Friends at the show. The first game did pretty well, so the best way to make a pet simulation even better is to put additional pets in the game.

So when you start EyePet & Friends up, you can get two EyePets to play with…

E3 2011: PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii will get Just Dance 3 in 2011

Another expected announcement has come from Ubisoft this E3, as the Just Dance series will continue. We all knew it was going to happen. The series just seems to call to casual gamers. There was one surprise concerning Just Dance 3 though, and that’s that it is a multiplaform game.

For the first time in the series, Just Dance 3 will not be a Wii exclusive. There will be PlayStation Move PS3 and Kinect Xbox 360 releases as well…

GameStop’s May 13 – 17 ad has PlayStation Move discounts

Well, GameStop’s sale ad for May 13-17, 2011 is out and there are quite a few interesting promotions to keep in mind when shopping for games. It’s a great week for picking up PS3 Move games and accessories, for example. Plus, there are a number of other discounts that could appeal to both console and PC gamers.

The two Move deals made the front page of the ad, so let’s start there…

PlayStation Move Ape Escape will be a PSN download

PlayStation Move owners might want to free up some hard drive space this summer, since PlayStation Move Ape Escape has just been announced. There are apes of questionable intelligence out there, ready to cause havoc and maybe even take over the world, and only you can wield the Move and stop them. It’s a pretty big responsibility, so I hope you’re up to it. Maybe go back and play some other Ape Escape games, so you’re prepared for this PlayStation Store exclusive…

Sony announces the SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs Full Deployment Edition

I think we’ve all pretty much accepted the fact that every major FPS release is going to have some kind of super special, at least $100, ultimate edition. It’s a given. So don’t worry about falling out of your chair over the SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs Full Deployment Edition. If you’ve got $149.99 to burn, you can grab this bundle when the game debuts on April 19, 2011…

Portal 2 will have Move support [Update]

Valve was really critical of the PlayStation 3 in the past. Some of the comments made by Valve’s top people were enough to seriously offend any avid PS3 supporter. Then all of a sudden at E3 last year, Valve was singing the praises of the PS3 like they’ve been buddies for years. Was Valve’s change of heart due to Sony’s agreement to let Valve play around in the inner workings of the PlayStation Network? Yes, probably. This deal has led Valve to make the PS3 the lead platform for Portal 2.
