Disney’s Wreck-It-Ralph is a nod to video game villains
Disney’s running low on fairy tales and classic stories to animate, so some of the more recent movies, like Brother Bear, Home on the Range and Bolt have relied on original stories. Its next movie, Wreck-It-Ralph, continues that concept by taking place inside a series of video games. It’s coming out to theaters on November more »

What’s more fun than being chased by giant hungry dinosaurs? Well probably everything but don’t worry, it’s all contained within the safety of a video game.

Majesco’s actually bringing Spy Kids: All the Time in the World to the DS
It’s time for yet another movie game announcement. It isn’t a happy or perhaps even fun movie-game announcement though, about something like Lego Harry Potter or the almost tolerable Captain America: Super Soldier. No, we’re heading into “Coming soon to a bargain bin near you” territory with Majesco’s latest announcement. Brace yourself, because it’s releasing Spy Kids: All the Time in the World on the DS…
New director for Uncharted Film scraps original script
There were a lot of unhappy gamers following the first announcement of the Uncharted film. David O. Russell’s vision of an antique dealing family with a passion for dishing out justice was too far from what fans know Uncharted for. The idea of having Mark Wahlberg play Nathan Drake was also a point of contention. Now that Russell has left the project, it has been taken up by Neil Burger. His take on the Uncharted movie will be completely different than Russell’s.
Legendary Pictures will talk about the Mass Effect movie at Comic-Con International 2011
That Mass Effect movie is actually going to happen. Yes, I know it’s been three years since the 2007 game was optioned and over a year since Legendary Pictures got the rights to make a movie based on it. It’s finally moving forward now, and the Legendary Pictures July 22, 2011 panel at Comic-Con International 2011 in San Diego will tell us how things are going and give attendees to talk about it.
Legendary Pictures first got the all clear to work on a Mass Effect movie back in May 2010. From there, the project completely dropped from the radar…
Get ready for a Mass Effect anime
You loved playing Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, so EA and Funimation are betting you’ll like watching it too. The two entertainment powerhouses are working with T.O Entertainment to put together a Mass Effect anime. Well, techincally an animated, direct to video movie. So I guess that would make it a Mass Effect OVA (original video animation).
There are no details on the Mass Effect OVA’s storyline…
Some original cast and crew to be in Silent Hill Revelation 3D (movie)

Next Resident Evil film scheduled for September 2012 release
Films based on a videogame franchise tend to not do very well. Sure, there are some film adaptations of games that make reasonably good money in theaters, but rarely are they reviewed exceptionally well. In even rarer occasions, sequels to those movies are produced and given nationwide releases. For some reason, the Resident Evil movie franchise has lasted four films, with a fifth movie expected to be released on September 14, 2012.

It sounds like the team behind the Dead Space phenomenon is looking into the possibility of a live-action film to compliment the work that’s been put into the franchise.
