Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon is the second published title from 345 Games. The creation of 345 Games was announced in April of this year. 345 Games is a publisher that teams with independent developers to create games based on television programs from Spike TV and Comedy Central. For Ugly Americans Apocalypsegeddon, Backbone Entertainment was chosen as the developer for this side-scrolling, highly vulgar game. Ugly Americans offers enough mindless killing to get you through a weekend, but you won’t find yourself hankering for more after the final boss. Harmonix will be sold by Viacom

Viacom, the parent company of Rock Band developer Harmonix, released its third quarter financial results today (November 11, 2010). In it, Viacom reported $3.33 billion in revenue, but Harmonix continued to fall behind. Even though Harmonix develops the most popular music rhythm genre of this generation, it isn’t enough to keep Viacom from seeing the developer as a financial liability.

SpongeBob MMO is real, debuting 2011

The SpongeBob MMO will be released in 2011 in China, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, Taiwan and India. It will take place in Bikini Bottom just as the show does. The team behind SpongeBob SquarePants, who are based in Burbank, California, will work with developers to provide an authentic experience for the game. All of the stars will be in the game such as Sandy, Squidward, Patrick and Gary the snail. What no Mr. Krabs? Surely there’s been some sort of omission.

The Beatles: Rock Band Limited Edition Premium Bundle contents revealed

The moppy pop icons’ company, Apple Corps Ltd., finally OKed the rights to the band’s name and songs being included in a game, The Beatles: Rock Band.

According to the press release sent today (April 16, 2009), those who preorder will be able to join the “The Beatles: Rock Band Pre-Order Club” and receive news and exclusive game content including art, behind-the-scenes footage and “more.” The content updates will begin May 2009. As with all Rock Band games, gamers will be able to play all four parts: guitar, bass, mic and drums.
