Mass Effect 3 demo comes with temporary Xbox Live Gold subscription
Xbox Live Gold access has already been granted to everyone until February 5, but we won’t have to wait too long before free Gold access will become available again. The Mass Effect 3 demo, which will be released on February 14, will unlock Xbox Live Gold until the full game launches on March 6.
Twisted Metal multiplayer demo connection issues are nearly resolved
The PlayStation Store update for this week contains a couple multiplayer demos for Twisted Metal and Syndicate. While I can’t speak on how steady the servers are with Syndicate, myself and others have experienced connection issues with the Twisted Metal multiplayer demo. Resident Evil 6 supports multiplayer for up to 8 people

BioWare fills us in on more Mass Effect 3 details
Following the leak of the Mass Effect 3 beta and really big story spoilers, BioWare filled gamers in on a lot of new details regarding ME3‘s online component. PC gamers will need to make sure their internet is alive and well before they try to start playing ME3. The game will require an internet connection the first time you start it up. This method is usually meant to check whether or not the game is a legit copy and wasn’t pirated from somewhere. After you jump through that hoop, you’ll be free to play as much ME3 your heart desires without needing an internet connection.
Mass Effect 3 beta was available for a brief time
A couple days ago, Microsoft accidently released an unfinished beta version of Mass Effect 3. The beta was made available to some individuals that signed up for and were accepted into the Xbox Live Fall Preview Program. The nearly 2GB file contained access to the multiplayer and single-player portions of ME3. The beta is no longer available and its modes have been deactivated. However, new information was obtained during the brief window of the beta’s existence.
Mass Effect 3 demo gives a taste of single-player and multiplayer
March 6, 2012 seems so far away. That’s the date Mass Effect 3 will be released. On one hand, it’s good the game made its way out of an already super crowded holiday 2011 season. On the other hand, it’s Mass Effect 3 and we want it now. Come January 2012, EA and BioWare will release a Mass Effect 3 demo that showcases the games multiplayer and single-player modes. If you purchase Battlefield 3, you’ll get early access to the multiplayer demo.

Mass Effect 3 multiplayer requires EA’s Online Pass
BioWare put all the speculation about Mass Effect 3‘s multiplayer to rest recently. An optional co-op multiplayer mode will be a part of the game. In it, you’ll control characters of different races that aren’t a part of Shepard’s main squad. You’ll take on missions that will directly influence the overall ending of Mass Effect 3. If you want to take part in this, you’ll have to purchase the game brand new.
