The smallest N64 in the world

Looking at the TrySixtyFource, it’s easy to tell ShockSlayer put a lot of work into it. It isn’t the most attractive thing in the world either. At first blush its texture appears as if it’s made of clay. It’s as if Macgyver made a portable N64 in his garage. Even though it’s not aesthetically pleasing to look at, and the placement of some buttons aren’t ideal, it’s still a fully functioning unit.

Coolest gadget of the year: A portable Nintendo 64

Seriously, this is the coolest, funkiest videogame gadget I’ve seen in quite a while – a fully portable, fully functional Nintendo 64. Called the Nintendo Sixtyfree Lite-R, and created by Ben Heck’s “disciple” SifuF, this puppy will play all of the crucial N64 classics. According to Joystiq, the system

Wii Virtual Console update for the week of June 25 to July 1, 2007

New this week: F-Zero X, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting and China Warrior.

This week’s three additions brings the total count to 109 games available for download through Nintendo’s Wii Shop Channel and playable only on the Wii. New Wii virtual Console (aka Virtual Arcade) games go live each Monday at 9 a.m. (Pacific Time).
