Taito’s My Pet Shop will be leaping into kids’ laps on March 10, 2009

My Pet Shop is a simulation game that emphasizes the importance of organization, responsibility and care that is required in the raising of a multitude of pets. The game takes place in sunny, happy-go-lucky Green Town where you assist Mama/Mom (who looks like a younger version of Cooking Mama) in running the local pet shop through shopping, chores, and befriending the other people of the town.

While Taito is primarily marketing this title towards young children…

Summon Night: Twin Age to be released stateside

The latest DS entry in the Summon Night series, Summon Night: Twin Age is going to be translated, localized and released in the US by Atlus. The action rpg, whose popularity in Japan has spawned an animated series and a series of books, is the third entry in the series to be released stateside. Previously Summon Night: Swordcraft Story and Summon Night: Swordcraft Story 2 were released on the GBA, however both were released after the GBA’s popularity began to wane, so unfortunately the two captivating games never received much attention. Hopefully Summon Night: Twin Age will find the audience it deserves on the DS.

Valkyrie Profile DS is foretold

Square Enix is creating a Valkyrie Profile title for the Nintendo DS. Not a port, like Valkyrie Profile Lenneth for the PSP, but a brand new game entitled Valkyrie Profile: The Accursed One. This news was enough to make me jump out of my chair and do a little victory dance when I heard it. There isn’t a set date for release yet, but Japanese magazines, Famitsu among them, are reporting on the story and providing screen shots.

Will LOL make DS owners laugh

Agetec has announced that it will be releasing a new multiplayer title for the Nintendo DS in May 2008 known as LOL. Based on Agetec’s official press release, it sounds a bit like PictoChat and Ping Pals, except Ping Pals did offer limited single player functions.
