Sony Pictures Entertainment titles “not available on Xbox 360″

Like many of you, I have finally had the chance to check out the “New Xbox Experience” (NXE). It functions, looks nice, and even though it tries to throw advertisement after advertisement in my face. I don’t mind. That’s what it’s supposed to do.

But one of the biggest things I was most looking forward to most was the ability to stream my Netflix instant queue straight to my Xbox 360 without having to hook up my laptop every time I wanted to watch movies on my T.V. Unfortunately, it seems that Sony Pictures Entertainment is having a small licensing spat with Netflix over its (few hundred) titles being streamed on the rival console…

The “destination” will basically become a central hub for all things Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, including trailers, basic and premium themes, picture packs, etc. Interestingly, the premium themes will be featured in…

Microsoft is clearly doing whatever they can to make sure that gamers have the opportunity to witness their New Xbox Experience.

The company has announced that it will be conducting a sweepstakes that will reward prospective winners with Microsoft Points that can be used towards Xbox Live Marketplace purchases. The grand prize winner will obtain 500,000 points (US$6,247.50 value).

That amounts to having enough to purchase more than half the Xbox Live Arcade library and more than enough to attain every song from both the Rock Band and Guitar Hero series of games and still…

With the New Xbox Experience (NXE) just over two weeks away from a worldwide launch on November 19, 2008, Microsoft has prepared a selection of Developer Diaries to bring you to up to speed on what you can expect to find tucked away in the mandatory system update.

New developer diaries focused on certain features of the NXE will be released each week, with a selection of six already accessible on Xbox.com. Current topics include the new Avatar system developed by Rare, Netflix support, Themes 2.0 integration and the…
