Nexon unleashes some Combat Arms: Zombies on iTunes

combat arms zombies

Combat Arms has gradually become one of Nexon’s most popular games, so it’s only natural the company would want to invest in that property and bring it to other platforms. The next stop for it is Combat Arms: Zombies. It’s a portable version of the full game that is designed to be similar to the more »

E3 2011: A video diary

E3 just really can’t be captured in text, and going to Los Angeles just to see the madness with one’s own eyes just isn’t feasible for everyone. Here’s the next best thing, a collection of many of the videos taken by Gamertell staff over the near week of excitement. Watch them all, and it’ll be just like being there. I promise:

Free-to-play Dungeon Fighter Online jumps to Xbox 360 (update)

Xbox 360 owners don’t need to be jealous of those PS3 owners getting Free Realms on March 29, 2011. They’re getting a good, free-to-play MMORPG too! Nexon’s Dungeon Fighter Online is transitioning from computers to the console….

Nexon releases free KartRider Rush iOS game

Time to load up your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with free apps! Nexon’s got a new one that might be worth checking out, called KartRider Rush. Why yes, it is a go-kart racing game! Good guess. I’m thinking the word “kart” in the title gave it away.

KartRider Rush is a basic go-kart style racing game, along the lines of Mario Kart

Name the newest map in Combat Arms

If you’ve ever had the desire to name your own battle map – you know, for whatever reason – well, today is your lucky day.

Nexon is updating it’s Combat Arms content February 2011 with new battle maps and they want you, the player, to name one.

The new map will be set in a deserted tropical army base, in a close-quarters military combat zone. Located in a small valley surrounded by mountains, players will come face to face with lots of danger and little room to escape.

E3 2010: Hands-on with Vindictus

Nexon had three playable MMOs on display at E3 2010, and Gamertell got to test out each one. So far we’ve gone over Dungeon Fighter Online and Dragon Nest, so it’s time to look at what Vindictus had to offer. Like all Nexon games, Vindictus is free to play, and should be available for everyone before the end of 2010.

The Vindictus demo at E3 offered two playable characters to choose from, Lann and Fiona…

E3 2010: Hands-on with Dragon Nest

One of Nexon’s playable MMOs at E3 2010 was Eyedentity Games’ Dragon Nest, a MMORPG with a few FPS elements to it. Nexon published the game in Korea, and is going to be publishing it in North America as well sometime in 2011. While the general public won’t be playing it until next spring, I got to spend a little time with it on one of the computers set up at Nexon’s booth.

The first thing you notice about Dragon Nest are the graphics and presentation. Everything is very polished and flashy. You can tell all the characters and monsters were inspired by JRPGs, because they look like they were plucked straight from an anime or manga series…

E3 2010: Dungeon Fighter Online by Nexon

Nexon’s booth had demos of their newest game Dungeon Fighter, a online game for the PC, to try out so I decided to give it a shot.

The game is an MMO with RPG elements so there are lots of people you can team up with. It’s a hack and slash adventure game with several different, fully customizable, classes you can pick from. Each class has its own specific weapons and special moves.

MapleStory DSi headed to Korea on April 15, 2010

Nintendo’s DSi is hitting Korea for the first time on April 15, 2010. To try and encourage more interest, Nintendo’s not just releasing white, black, blue and pink DSis, it’s also releasing a limited edition red DSi MapleStory DS bundle. This special bundle, which includes a DSi with little MapleStory mascots around the camera, will cost ₩237,000 (~$212).

MapleStory DS has been a long rumored and anticipated DS title, crafted by Nexon. At one time there were even rumors of a worldwide release. At the moment, only an April 15 Korean release has been confirmed. Unfortunately, MapleStory DS isn’t exactly what everyone was hoping it would be – that is, a portable version of the popular MMO with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection functionality. Instead, it’s a straightforward action RPG with no Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection support.

As for finding and importing MapleStory DS or the MapleStory DSi bundle, well, that’s going to be more difficult…

Black Friday 2009: Nexon games’ cash shops offer discounts

Black Friday is a good way to take care of your friends and family, but perhaps not so good for internet buddies. After all, you may just be fellow guild members in an MMO, or close enough to want to give a gift, but not actually buy it and mail it out. If you and your online friends play one of Nexon’s free-to-play MMOs, then you’re covered.

Nexon has just announced that the cash shops for Combat Arms, Dungeon Fighter Online, MapleStory and Mabinogi will all have sufficient discounts and sales in each shop. Each games’ cash shop sale will be different though.

Combat Arms will have a Black Friday sale running from November 27-29, 2009…
