Nintendo downloads for June 14, 2010

Morning everyone! This week’s Nintendo Downloads is coming to you live from Los Angeles, where many of the Gamertell writers are eagerly waiting for E3 2010 to begin. (As you can probably gather, I’m among them.) So this week’s summary of the latest Wii and DSi downloadable games is going to be brief. Bear with me, and I promise that next week the Nintendo Downloads update will be as robust as usual.

Gamertell’s Nintendo Download pick for the week is Bejeweled 2 (WiiWare).

Nintendo downloads for November 9, 2009

This week’s Nintendo Download marks the debut of two expected releases. Excitebike: World Rally, an updated and improved entry in the Excitebike series is out on WiiWare and a slew of Electroplankton downloads have been released on DSiWare. Two other major releases include Frogger Returns (WiiWare) and Bomberman Blitz (DSiWare).

If you’re considering one of the five Electroplankton DSiWare games, then you’ll probably want to get a new Nintendo Points card and look up information on the original game. Half of the 10 different kinds of plankton from the original game have been released on DSiWare, and each costs $2/200 Nintendo Points. It also sounds like the downloads only include the Performance Mode from the original Electroplankton.

Gamertell’s Nintendo Download picks for the week are Excitebike World Rally (WiiWare), Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap (Virtual Console) and Bomberman Blitz (DSiWare)…

Nintendo Downloads update for the week of April 20, 2009

Another week, another deluge of releases on Nintendo’s three downloadable game services. This time around, we’ve got minor blockbusters on every wing – from Monster Boy to Dr. Mario to a Final Fantasy spin off. Decisions, decisions… In any event, you can find the newest goodies on the DSi shop and the Wii Shop Channel, and Wii points can be purchased at a rate of 100=$1.
