Playstation Store Update: Zumas & Nobies Edition (February 19-26, 2009)
With the stresses of Valentine’s Day now a mere memory, Sony’s Playstation 3 is now back to giving gamers the only gifts that it knows how: presents in the form of content updates and bonus wares that will be sure to please any individual who claims himself as a PS3 owner.
This store update also highlights week 2 of the PSN’s “Spring Fever” program. Heading into the store this week are two downloadable games: Noby Noby Boy and Zuma. Both are games that challenge players to exercise their minds and creativity rather than…
Stretch your imagination with Noby Noby Boy
Noby Noby Boy isn’t a mystery anymore, and now that all the information on the PS3 downloadable game is revealed, it’s looking pretty darn cool. I know I’m wishing it weren’t a PS3 exclusive. The one constant we’ve all known is that Keita Takahashi, who we already love for making Katamari Damacy, was behind Noby Noby Boy. Now, we know that the goal in the game is to help BOY eat things, grow and stretch throughout the environment.
What you do is move BOY using the left analog stick to control his front end and the right to control his back end. This way you can help him move around the area and find things/people to eat. If you decide he’s eaten something he shouldn’t, you simply make him spit it back up. If you think you’ve just played a particularly interesting level, you can record it and send it to YouTube.
The really innovative part of Noby Noby Boy involves GIRL. GIRL is a creature like BOY, except she’s starting on Earth and stretching throughout outer space
