Braid to be boxed, sold at retail

Videogame developer and publisher MumboJumbo will be responsible for Braid‘s release in stores. It hopes to expand Braid‘s audience to those who may not have the ability to purchase games digitally.

Braid finally finds its way to the PS3

Next week’s PlayStation Store update is going to feature the critically acclaimed Braid among its many new downloads. Jonathan Blow’s thought-provoking, beautiful and time-controlling action game is finally going to make its debut November 12, 2009. It’s going to cost you $14.99 if you decide to pick it up, which is what the XBox 360 version cost when it debuted back in 2008. While Number None handled the Xbox Live Arcade and Windows versions, Hothead Games was tasked with the Mac and PS3 ports.

Braid is a rather unique platformer. The star, Tim, is journeying through multiple environments and worlds in an attempt to save a princess. Players aren’t given many details of the storyline, and only know that Tim has to reach the princess and make up for a mistake he had made…
