/> PlayStation Move has a lot to prove. It’s already being dismissed as a Wii Remote clone months ahead of its release. In many ways these accusations seem to be true. Move needs two controllers to get the full experience like the Wii Remote and Nunchuck, and the majority of software we’ve seen are party games designed to waste time. Sony wants people to see Move as something other than Wii HD.

The overall impression of this accessory will remind gamers of the Wii remote and nunchuck combo. It will also allow developers to work with similar gaming concepts forged by the Wii and apply them to the superior hardware capabilities of the PS3.

The combination of flight-sim and arcade action makes for an odd little anti-war wargame that also happens to be the best air combat sim currently on the Wii. It has its troubles, none of which should deter you if you’ve been pining for quality dogfighting action since finishing Blazing Angels.

The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces won’t take over your gaming world but it’s a title you’ll have plenty of fun going back to when you need a break from whatever else you’re playing.

New Super Mario Bros Wii exudes games of olde, melding the best aspects of pretty much every Mario-based platformer ever made and then some.

But it’s more than just a jumpastic, coin gathering platformer. It’s a speed trek through gaming nostalgia that pretty much any gamer will enjoy.

At the 2009 Electronics Entertainment Expo, Square Enix debuted a playable demo of the latest chapter in its Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series titled The Crystal Bearers for Wii.

In the demo, I was able to experience Layle’s mysterious abilities in an assortment of different environments. During battles, players will utilize the WiiMote by moving it to collaborate with the onscreen targeting point and pushing the B button to commence its appropriate action. This could be anything from telekinetically controlling a Gatling gun to Swiss cheese oncoming avian enemies, to targeting chasing enemy Chocobo knights and tossing them from their steeds in an attempt to flee.

One of the most intuitive new accessories being shown at CES is Nyko’s Wireless Nunchuck attachment. The Nunchuck comes with a 2.4 Ghz wireless adapter that fits into the bottom of a Wii-mote and frees the user from the annoyance of that short little wire between the two components.
