Nyko Power Grip supposedly lasts 3x longer than the standard 3DS battery

Nyko has a new 3DS battery solution out just in time for the holiday shopping season. Which is a smart idea, since it means people may just buy it along with the 3DS they’re picking up as a gift. Anyways, this model is called the Power Grip and is supposed to last three times as long as the included 3DS battery once you attach it to your system. The “grip” part stems from the fact that it’s not only an extra battery, it’s also an ergonomic grip. Again, another pretty good idea, since some adults using the system may have a little hand cramping if a play session lasts too long.

The Nyko Power Grip installs pretty much the same way as the Hyperkin Powerplus…

Nyko’s April Fool’s joke adds glasses to the 3DS’ glasses-free experience

It’s April Fool’s, which means it’s time for fake press releases and announcements! Nyko’s got a pretty good one this year. We know the company has been working on 3DS accessories and peripherals, but none can compare to the 3D Glasses for the 3DS. Yes, for one day only, Nyko’s got some Lens-less is More 3D glasses, minus actual lenses, to help enhance your 3DS playing experience. Nyko to alleviate 3DS power woes with Power Pak+ and Charge Base

While the 3DS looks incredibly awesome, one tidbit has been making prospective buyers leery. See, Nintendo already confirmed that the 3DS battery could last anywhere between 3-8 hours, depending on if people are playing a 3DS or DS game. This means Nyko’s launch windows 3DS accessories could end up being a godsend, since both the Power Pak+ and Charge Base address the battery life issue…

That isn’t to say it’s all a mystery. Nyko has confirmed two of the products that will definitely be at the show for attendees to see….
