Bethesda games are generally must-have games, whether they’re fantasy games like Oblivion or grimly humorous futuristic games like Fallout. Most gamers set aside money just in case a hot new Bethesda game might become available. Their next franchise will be Rage, an apocalyptic first person shooter developed with John Carmack and ID software and it’s due out September 13, 2011. To judge by the videos on the official site, anyone who likes shooters should start saving now.
Rumor: Elder Scrolls 5 is a sequel to Oblivion
Bethesda has been very tight-lipped about the next Elder Scrolls game. Bethesda has been attached to many projects since The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. We always felt that a new game in the series would come eventually. There’s a rumor going around today (November 23, 2010) that Bethesda has been working on a sequel to Oblivion.
What Happened To: The Elder Scrolls Travels Oblivion for the PSP
Bethesda Softworks seemed to start off pretty excited about the prospect and was working hard on trying to get the game in working order for a release date as early as April 2007.
Slowly the release date kept getting pushed back to the point where some sources had the release date pushed as far back as December 2007.
Eventually, Gamestop removed the entry for the possible game from its catalog. This got different media outlets, including Kotaku, to start wondering and reporting on whether or not the game might be a canceled game.

Fallout 3 will see simultaneous PC, XBox 360, PS3 release
Yesterday (February 18, 2008), Fallout 3‘s executive producer, Todd Howard, assured both Joystiq and anxious Playstation 3 owners that the PC, XBox 360 and PS3 versions of the game will all ship at exactly the same time. Bethesda’s previous RPG, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, debuted simultaneously only for the PC and 360 in March 2006, leaving PS3 owners to wait an entire year for their port to hit stores. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion gets a new edition
Bethesda Softworks is announcing this morning (July 9, 2007) that it will be releasing a “Game of the Year” edition of Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The GOTY version will include the full game plus the “Shivering Isles” and “Knights of the Nine” expansion packs.
The “Nights of Nine” expansion pack was originally available late March 2007 for the Xbox 360 and Windows releases, a year after the core game was released, and included in the PS3 version’s final release.
