See Vegas the way it should be with Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition
It’s officially been over a year since Fallout: New Vegas was released. Enough time has passed for almost all the patches to get fixed and all the DLC to be released. How do we feel about it now? I’m over it, to be honest. I mean, I got to the decision point and started to work towards a New Vegas run by the Courier, but it all got to be so tedious and depressing that I gave up. If you feel differently, or perhaps never even jumped on the Fallout: New Vegas train to begin with, then Bethesda has good news. It’s planning a Game of the Year style release called the Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition.
The Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition is exactly what you’d expect…
Some Fallout: New Vegas players can’t experience Honest Hearts
You may want to wait before picking up Honest Hearts, Fallout: New Vegas‘ latest DLC add-on. That’s because a number of people are having problems actually, you know, playing it. Which isn’t what you want to hear when you’re paying $9.99/800 Microsoft Points for it. There it is though.
It isn’t like the Honest Hearts glitch affects everyone…
Check out Fallout: New Vegas Honest Hearts, Old World Blues and The Lonesome Road DLC
Dead Money is going to have some company soon. Over the next three months, Bethesda and Obsidian Entertainment are going to release three new Fallout: New Vegas add-on adventures. Yes, they’ll all be released in a row and on all platforms at the same time. There are no exclusivity arrangements or three to five month waits for each $9.99 DLC pack.
Honest Hearts will be released first and should be available for the PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC on May 17, 2011, provided the PlayStation Store is actually back online by then…
Square Enix reschedules Dungeon Siege III for June
Don’t go looking for Dungeon Siege III next month. You’ll only be disappointed if you do. That’s because it’s been, you guessed it, delayed. A minor, one month delay, but still. A setback is a setback. Instead of seeing the PS3, Xbox 360 and Windows game on store shelves May 31, 2011, you’ll find it June 21, 2011. The price is still the same though! It’ll be $59.99 on consoles and $49.99 on computers.
This delay isn’t just happening in North America. Europe has to wait too…
Dark Horse Comics and Square Enix prepare Dungeon Siege III web comic
You will not believe it, Dungeon Siege III is going to be out on May 31, 2011! It’s only a little over two months away! Aren’t you just so excited? Yeah, I’m not all that hyped about it either. I suppose it’s the flurry of releases like BulletStorm, Crysis 2, Pokemon White/Black and Dragon Age II that make it difficult to worked up about Dungeon Siege III. Sure, it’s good news, but it may not inspire the same buzz as other games. Hopefully, Dark Horse Comics and Square Enix’s new digital comic will help with that…
Dungeon Siege III gets a release date
Square Enix seems to have hit a bit of a rough patch with the jokes that were Final Fantasy XIV and Mindjack. But that’s a story for a different time. Rather than looking to the past, we’re going to be looking to the future. There’s the obvious game changer that might revitalize Square that’s coming out next month, Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Then there’s the thing that might revitalize Square in the RPG market, Dungeon Siege III.
Square announced the official release date for Dungeon Siege III.
This person actually beat New Vegas without killing anything
One person has done the seemingly impossible. I remember an Obsidian representative once saying it is possible to complete Fallout: New Vegas without killing anyone, but I didn’t think anyone would have the stones to do it. Unless this screenshot is completely fake, we’ve found the most passive individual to ever grace the wasteland.
You don’t need guns to rule the wasteland
The preferred method of killing in the Mojave Wasteland is lead poisoning. This can be distributed in a variety of forms. Handguns, shotguns, rifles are just a few lead dispensing devices that you’ll grow to depend on in Fallout: New Vegas. But for those who need a more personal approach, there are melee weapons. They’re just as effective, and perhaps more satisfying to use.
Opinion: Obsidian Entertainment wasn’t ready to handle Fallout: New Vegas
When I noticed that Obsidian was working on Fallout: New Vegas, I was slightly concerned. It did great work on titles such as Knights of the Old Republic II.
Its latest releases have not fared as well.
After I played Alpha Protocol, one of Obsidian’s latest, my concern meter shot from “slightly concerned” to “Lindsay Lohan trainwreck” level concerned. I tried to calm my nerves, reminding myself time and again that Fallout is one of publisher Bethesda Softworks’ biggest series. It wouldn’t hand the reigns over to a developer that wasn’t up to the task.
Fallout: New Vegas has wrapped production, PC specs revealed
Obsidian and Bethesda are finally done with Fallout: New Vegas. The next step is for the game to be sent off the manufacturing plants where thousands of copies will be made and shipped around the country. New Vegas comes out on October 19, 2010 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Bethesda also revealed the PC system requirements for New Vegas.
