Gamertell Review: Pong Toss Pro-Frat Party Games for Wii
Pong Toss is a new party game for WiiWare. The goal is to throw a ping pong ball into one of ten plastic cubs on the opposite side of a table, the first player to toss his ping pong ball . This game is probably better known as beer pong but it’s a kids game so it’s just called Pong Toss
You can play with up to four players and there is also a Tournament mode so you can see who is the better pong tosser.
E3 2010: Dance Central for Xbox’s Kinect
I stopped by Harmonix’s booth and got an exclusive look at their new Dance Central game which uses Xbox 360’s Kinect camera.
I jumped up on stage and followed the moves that the character was doing on the screen. Some of the moves are easier than others and some i just could not pull off if my life depended on it. The easier the mode you do, the easier the dance moves are and vise-versa. They have names for all the moves so you can remember which one is which. The game is real good at locking down your movements and it scores you on how well you duplicate the move.
E3 2010: Guilty Party by Disney
I strolled past Disney’s booth and came across a cute little mystery game called Guilty Party for the Wii.It’s a mystery game, up to four players, where you are different detectives. You can either work together to solve the mystery or you can go against each other and sabotage the case for the other players.
List of top-selling games points at changing trends in game sales
At seeing the list of top-selling games for 2007, the first thing I saw that made me scour the internet for confirmation was that Wii Play took the #2 spot. I know it has been out since February 12, 2007, and had more time to collect sales, but come on. This game got mediocre reviews across the board, and Mario Party 8 didn’t fair a lot better.
Where is Bioshock? Where is Forza 2? Where is The Orange Box? Where are all the games that we hardcore gamers look for? Well son, the times they are a changing. I think the Seth Scheisel, of the NY Times has hit this one on the head: critically praised single-player games that appeal to hardcore gamers are being outsold by multiplayer games that appear to a less hard-core audience (and critics).
Take a look at the list…
