Well that didn’t take too long did it? PC players have been rolling around in Skyrim‘s improved world since the release of patch 1.4 at the beginning of the month, but PS3 and Xbox 360 players are about to get their chance too. Bethesda tweeted not too long ago the PS3 patch for Skyrim should be available more »

Skyrim’s PS3 lag should fade after update 1.4

the elder scrolls v skyrim ps3

Do you remember what it was like to run through the streets of Whiterun without it turning into some retro-80′s, slow-motion montage? Yeah, me either. But that may not be a problem soon. Bethesda is saying, now get this, that the lag may actually disappear soon! I know, we heard that before the 1.3 Skyrim more »

Gameloft will fix 2D issues in The Adventures of Tintin

Tintin 2D

Gameloft had quite a few upset customers on its hands recently. Many of those who purchased The Adventures of Tintin for Android were treated to a bland 2D version instead of “a beautiful, 3D world” as promised in the Android Market description. The negative feedback has not been lost on Gameloft and a fix will more »

Skyward Sword gets a Wii Channel to fix its bug

legendofzelda-skywardsword1

By now, most Wii owners know that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has a game-breaking glitch in it. There’s one point in the game where Link is going around, getting songs from dragons during a quest called Song of the Hero. If he goes to the Thunder Dragon in the Lanaryu Deserts first, then the trouble can start. There’s a Goron named Golo in the Lanaryu Mine near said dragon, and if someone talks to Golo twice, then the game goes wonky and they won’t be able to get the songs from the Fire and Water Dragons. Soon, there will be two solutions for people who just had to be chatty with Golo, one which involves sending SD cards to NIntendo and one that involves a fairly simple download…

Xbox 360 Skyrim patch eliminates confused dragons and more [Update]

As entertaining as seeing dragons flying backwards was, it’s time for them to say goodbye. Bethesda has released update version 1.3 for Skyrim on Xbox 360. This patch is also supposed to fix the issue players have been experiencing with magic resistances. Basically, they had none. A mage or dragon could kill you in one hit in some cases. The patch for the PS3 is not up at the moment, but hopefully it will be very soon.

Skyrim’s next patch will “fix” what the last patch broke

Bethesda’s latest patch for Skyrim was meant to cause happiness, but it ended up ushering in frustration and hilarity. Patch 1.2 is notoriously known for breaking the magical resistances of players, while entertaining them with dragons flying backwards. Encountering a mage in Skyrim these days will almost certainly result in death, but this issue and more are expected to be worked out next week when Bethesda releases another patch.

New Skyrim problems emerge following patch

Bethesda’s attempt to fix crippling lag and other problems in the PS3 version of Skyrim hasn’t been as helpful as we’d hoped. Users are reporting even more problems with the game after updating. The Bethesda forums has an ongoing thread filled with players complaining about the lack of magic resistance associated with their characters. Players who were once very resistant to magic have found themselves getting bested by every spell that’s thrown at them.
