Nintendo downloads for February 15, 2010

Time to head back to the courtroom! Well, virtual courtroom. Capcom’s WiiWare port of the DS/GBA game Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All hits the Wii Shop Channel today. It also happens to be the most anticipated of the nine games added to the Wii and DSi today. That’s not to say the other games added aren’t good, for example Sonic & Knuckles makes its Virtual Console debut today, but it’s just the best known.

A cool thing to note about the Virtual Console version of Sonic & Knuckles. Like it’s original cartridge counterpart, the downloadable version can connect with Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, as long as you’ve bought both games from the Wii Shop Channel and have them on your Wii as well. This means you can play as Knuckles in the older games.

The DSi gets the most games this week yet again, with five new titles added. Personally, I’d like to see the count cut back one and there be two Virtual Console releases every week again, but whatever works.

Gamertell’s Nintendo Download picks for the week are Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All (Wii) and Sonic & Knuckles (Virtual Console)…

Ace Attorney WiiWare games coming to North America, too

It was big news when everyone discovered that the Ace Attorney DS games were being adapted for the Wii in Japan. It gets even better though, it’s coming to North America as well. They will come out in three parts. First Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney‘s first four cases will apear on WiiWare in January, 2010.
