Sims 3 Barnacle Bay DLC expansion is pirate approved
EA isn’t content with just releasing Sims 3 expansion packs in retail stores. It wants expansions in its online The Sims 3 Store as well. On The Sims 3 Store there’s always been a section marked Worlds. Until recently, Riverview, a free extra community, was the only additional neighborhood there. Now, it’s joined by the 1,650 SimPoints ($16.50) Barnacle Bay…
Pennsylvania postal worker accused of stealing 2,200 GameFly rentals
One of the downsides of using a mail rental service for games, movies, etc. is the number of middlepeople involved.
Between the shipping facility, the post office and the mail carrier there are a number of places a game can get damaged, lost or outright stolen. That’s what former Postal Service officer Reginald Johnson admitted to doing 2,200 times in federal district court Thursday October 15, 2009.
The former mail processing clerk allegedly stole $86,000 worth of stuff and, according to police reports, Johnson’s scams didn’t stop there. Police claim he was trading the games to GameStop and buying game consoles with the store credit. GameFly reported the large number of missing discs to the Postal Service, who caught Johnson in a surveillance sting.

This constant struggle between companies and thieves has lead to some memorable, and occasionally funny, piracy protection measures. Today, Gamertell takes a look back at the anti-piracy included in Spore, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates and Earthbound…

Some of you may have caught the article about the hacked PSP made into a phone and it appears the Sony system hacking hasn’t come to an end. This week, someone has made a Playstation 3 into a laptop.
Even though it appears to run, I’m not certain whether you could practically use it as a laptop. It is quite large at 16 in. x 10.5 in. x 4 in. when closed and heavier than most laptops, weighing 15 pounds. I wouldn’t want that on my…
