PlayStation Home update lets you horde more items
PlayStation Home is getting another update today, but the changes won’t be nearly as drastic as what we saw back in November. The aesthetic and design of PlayStation Home will remain the same, but improvements to personal spaces, companions and developer tools have been made. Just like every other Home update, you can expect to be updated to version 1.60 automatically.

Today was an exciting day for the PlayStation Home community. Sony released a totally new Home design that’s meant to make Home feel more like a gaming destination. Different gaming genres have been broken into districts and new Home games have been introduced such as Bootleggers’ 29 and RC Rally. It may seem overwhelming at first, but we’re here to be your tour guide in exploring the new PlayStation Home.
The new PlayStation Home is now available
The time has finally arrived. The new and improved PlayStation Home is now available. We must admit we didn’t think it would happen so quickly. The next time you boot up PlayStation Home, you’ll be given an image that shows you all the new locations such as the districts and the new Hub. You’ll have to download each location before you can access it just like the good old days. Other than that, there are no updates or installs to worry about.
PlayStation Home redesign goes live Thursday
Earlier this week, we got a taste of what the new PlayStation Home would include thanks to a video from Sony. Home’s director Jack Buser kept saying the launch was near and he wasn’t exaggerating. Get your PlayStation 3′s ready because Home is coming back for round two on Thursday November 3.
PlayStation Home’s redesign draws near
Sony is almost ready to release the brand new redesign of PlayStation Home. Today on the PlayStation Blog, Sony posted a new video that details some of the main attractions of the new PlayStation Home. Jack Buser, the director of PlayStation Home, repeatedly emphasized the update is nearly here.
Uncharted 3: Fortune Hunter gives your Home avatar a gun and dudes to shoot [Video]
Uncharted 3 is just weeks from being released. Sony is ramping up the promotions for Uncharted 3 with its Subway tie-in and through PlayStation Home. A new Home space has opened today with a mini-game that puts your avatar in combat against the murderous treasure hunters of the Uncharted universe. We’re going to show you exactly what happens when Home gives users a gun.
Sony shows off first-person shooter and poker title for PlayStation Home
Sony announced a major change is in store for PlayStation Home back in August. Home will be completely re-imagined as a destination centered on social games. Home will be broken down into districts that cater to certain kinds of games. For instance, there will be an Adventure District and an Action District. Among the games in the Action District is a first-person shooter called Bootleggers.
Brand new PlayStation Home arriving in the Fall
Perhaps you’ve haven’t been taken in by PlayStation Home. There’s no shortage of content, but something about PlayStation Home puts off PS3 owners. Sony has come too far with Home to walk away from it now, so it’s making drastic changes. Starting this fall, PlayStation Home as you know (or may not know) it will be completely changed.
Dead Island comes to PlayStation Home
The Dead Island PlayStation Home space has finally gone live. PlayStation Home is using the popularity of this upcoming game to draw more users into PlayStation Home by including mini-games and offering exclusive items. You can download the space quickly and start hacking off zombie limbs immediately.
PSN Welcome Back content going away soon
This is a friendly reminder for anyone who hasn’t claimed their free PlayStation Network content. Sony initiated the Welcome Back program almost one month ago to everyone who was affected by the PSN security breach that left the network crippled for over a month. Sony only gave PSN users one month to claim the free content before it vanishes forever. Today is July 1, 2011 which means there are only a couple days left to redeem everything.
