Target’s latest sale ad for November 27 – December 3, 2011 has a big mistake in it. It’s found nestled in the game section, where an announcement says select online gaming cards are 20% off. See that image above? What’s wrong with it. Hint, it has to do with the PlayStation Plus card.

Normally, a one year PlayStation Plus card is $49.99. 20% off of that should be $39.99, which is the price shown on Target’s website. However, the ad shows the one year card with a price of $14.39 below it…

That Telltale Games take on Jurassic Park is looking pretty awesome. But $29.99 is a lot of money. Wouldn’t it be awesome to get it for free? Well, if you own a PS3 there is a way. Sony wants people to upgrade to PlayStation Plus, and is making Jurassic Park: The Game the incentive.

Here’s how it works…

Sony has made sweeping changes to the way it handles its digital businesses. The company decided to unify its digital services under the Sony Entertainment umbrella and got rid of the Qriocity branding. Sony now calls its video service Movies Unlimited, and a preview of the new application will be available to PlayStation Plus members today. Video Unlimited will be released to everyone in a few weeks.

September is a good month to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber. This month, subscribers will have the pleasure of downloading 10 free games. Starting with tomorrow’s update, subscribers will get three PSN games – Plants vs. Zombies, Altered Beast and Astro Tripper. The rest of the month will offer up PSone Classics, full game trials and lots of discounted content.

PlayStation Plus and Uplay members are in for a treat on September 3. On that day, Ubisoft will release the Assassin’s Creed Revelations multiplayer beta just for them. The beta will be exclusive to the PlayStation Network for a limited time. There’s no word on if or when other consoles will receive the beta as well.

The next PS3 firmware, v.3.70 will be released soon. It’s bringing a decent number of additions, but cross-game chat isn’t one of them. Don’t worry, it will show up sooner or later. What we will get is a couple automated features, changes to the PlayStation Store and enhanced 3D Blu-ray capabilities.

The multiplayer portion of Resistance 3 will enter public beta in the United States starting on August 4. The first beta users gained access by purchasing special copies of SOCOM 4. Roughly three weeks later on August 23, the beta will be available to all PlayStation Plus subscribers.
