Gotta catch ‘em all! And in Pokémon + Nobunaga’s Ambition, that means using the pokemon and warlord teams to conquer every region in the game. Did that confuse you? I thought it might.

The mystery Pokémon game that Nintendo was rumored to be working on is actually a collaboration with Tecmo Koei. So Pokémon is going to be mashed up with the Nobunaga’s Ambition strategic simulation….

We first talked about MinoMonsters last month. The concept of an iOS game that is geared towards Pokemon fans was intriguing to us at the time. With sales of Nintendo consoles on the decline, some people believe the company should expand into the smartphone and tablet arena. Nintendo has adamantly refused to cooperate with the likes of iOS and Android, and it may turn out to be a big mistake. As of now, we won’t see the likes of Mario, Kirby or Pokemon on the iPhone. However, MinoMonsters is going to attempt to fill the need for a Pokemon experience with its first game that’s also called MinoMonsters. The 2012 New York Comic-Con is coming up next week on October 13-16, 2011 and, as usual, Nintendo is going to be there. A long running distant second has been the Pokemon Trading Card game, which is more popular with the younger, 10 and under, crowd.
