Activision and Beenox working on The Amazing Spider-Man for 2012

The latest Activision-published Spider-Man game, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, was just released earlier this month. You would think some time would pass before we see the web-slinger in action once again. Nope. We have to remember this is Activision we’re talking about, and this company has never been shy about releasing similar games at a brisk pace. As such, Activision and developer Beenox will take on Spider-Man again next year with the release of The Amazing Spider-Man.

The Legend Of Heroes: Trails In The Sky gets standard and limited editions

It’s been quite a while since a The Legend of Heroes game has been released in North America. To be more accurate, a recent The Legend of Heroes game. We did get the PSP port of The Legend of Heroes III: Song of the Ocean in 2007, a year after Japan, but the Sora no Kiseki and Zero no Kiseki entries have been in limbo until now. XSEED’s picked up The Legend of Heroes VI: Trails in the Sky (Sora no Kiseki) and is releasing the first part of the game in March, 2011…

The Xbox is not in the gamers alphabet

The Xbox has made an unmistakable mark in gaming history. Without it, online gaming on consoles would not be where it is today. However Microsoft’s console is no where to be found on one of the neatest t-shirt/poster I’ve seen in recent memory. If you acquired your gaming history based solely on the picture above, the Xbox never existed.

Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love fashionably late

This probably won’t surprise too many people who’ve been waiting on the first English Sakura Wars game, but Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love has once again been delayed. So now the strategy game/visual novel/dating simulation, which was originally supposed to be released For a while, it looked as though NIS might be releasing Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love before 2009 ended, but it quickly slid back to a March 23, 2010 release date. It’s happened again, and now the final, official, it’s-really-going-to-definitely-be-out date is March 30, 2010.

Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love will be available in both premium and standard forms, though only Wii owners will have the option of purchasing a standard edition. The premium PS2 and Wii copies of the game will each have dual-layer discs, so people have the option of playing with the original Japanese voices or English dubbed. It also comes with an art book and poster, and costs $39.99….

Nintendo brings Dialga and Palkia DS to the US

Japan isn’t the only country receiving exceptionally pretty, limited run DSes. Nintendo has just announced that, on August 17, 2008, a Limited Edition DS Pokemon Pack will be available in stores. The pack includes an etched, black DS lite and additional Pokemon items for $129.99.

The selling point of the package is the black DS lite with pictures Dialga and Palkia, two legendary pokemon from Pokemon Diamond/Pearl etched on the front of it. It also comes with a matching DS lite case that has the same design on the cover, a mini poster and a DVD with an animated movie called Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness. Nintendo has declared the bundle a limited edition, but there is no word on how many units are being produced or how long it will be sold.
