Sony Online Entertainment back online, outlines compensation plan
As of right now, some PlayStation Network services have been restored in North America. You’re now free to play online, sync Trophies and gawk at your friend’s list. The PlayStation Store isn’t back online yet and we aren’t sure when it will be. Sony Online Entertainment services are also back online. SOE previously announced it had put together a welcome back program to compensate its customers for the difficulties they’ve had to endure, and it has now been put into action.
Sony releases PoxNora on Facebook
Sony is now bringing games to Facebook, which really isn’t too surprising. After all, EA owns PlayFish, a popular Facebook game developer. Sony’s relying on one of its established games for its first foray into social network games – PoxNora.
The name should sound familiar, since PoxNora‘s been around for quite a while as a Windows, Mac and Linux browser game. It’s a strategic trading card game, though you’re really using virtual runes, and not virtual cards. You start with some basic free runes, which you can use to send out fighters on a map and cast spells. The goal is to protect your own shrine, while trying to destroy your opponent’s shrine.
Sadly, you can’t do too much for free…
