Kazuo Hirai will become the next president of Sony
Kazuo Hirai is getting another promotion. According to Nikkei, Hirai will be named president of Sony. Sony is expected to make the title official sometime in February, and Hirai will begin his presidential duties in April. Howard Stringer will stay on as the chairman and CEO of Sony.

Xbox 360 becomes a Verizon FiOS cable box next month
On December 6, the Xbox Live dashboard update will be pushed to all Xbox Live members. Along with the new look will come new video services from a wide variety of content providers. Verizon is one of the companies that partnered with Microsoft to bring certain features from its FiOS TV service to the console. Today, Verizon outlined what Xbox 360 owners will be able to do once Verizon FiOS becomes their internet and television provider.
Battlefield 3 gets DLC thanks to Dr. Pepper
EA and Dr. Pepper (the drink) have joined forces to bring exclusive DLC to Battlefield 3. This promotion works just like similar cross-branding agreements made between video game publishers and owners of food and beverage brands. On specially marked Dr. Pepper bottles, there will be a code that can be redeemed on Dr. Pepper’s website for in-game DLC such as dog tags, a multiplayer skin or dog tags. Every bottle contains a code, so there’s really no risk to this.
