This week’s PlayStation Home update includes Abstergo Labs from Assassin’s Creed 2, an Anime Personal Space, a Pharaoh’s Tomb personal space, updates to SingStar’s VIP Lounge, a volunteer opportunity to make newcomers feel comfy and, of course, a ginormous list o’ goodies to get for your home inside Home.

Many of you have already noticed that Home has a brand new look to it this week following the recent 1.35 update. The way a player logs into home now has been changed. Connection to the PlayStation Network now happens automatically without having to go through messages to log on and then taken to the navigation screen. The navigator screen displays favorite places, recommended spaces, personal spaces, location of friends if they’re on and of course an exploration map that is now broken down by spaces already visited or by the game’s category (i.e., sports, action, adventure, etc.). Players are no longer trapped at the last location they visited, especially if that space was dragging and keeping them from exiting the space. You can move around the world of HOME literally at the click of the button quickly. Here’s a partial list of features to expect…

This Valentine’s Day, help Jerry meet his quota and keep his job by finding the love letters he left in the mall. Have a friend help you match the clothing of the person described in the letter and take a photo in the photo booth located below the spiral stairs on the first floor of the mall for a reward. More details can be found online at the Cupid On Notice website. Rewards range from a cute little photo frame to your own pair of cupid wings.

The newest space available at the Real Estate store is the Villian’s Lair for $5.99 which features two mini-games, Village Griefer and World Domination, a huge aquarium full of exotic fish and a shark, hot molten lava and a laser protected trophy room.

And, of course, a big ol’ list of new stuff for your avatar.

This week for a limited time Home users will gather in Central Plaza and find it overrun with turkeys and a giant bronze turkey in the fountain. along with Thanksgiving Day events is the release of more Assassin’s Creed 2 items for Home.

Everybody’s Golf space just opened, this golf themed lounge area for Hot Shots Golf game fans comes to us from Japan, visitors to the space can participate in an in-world survey to unlock a reward item for their personal space.

Since the announcement of a major Home overhaul at the Gamescon 2009 in Cologne, Germany, the PS Home community have been buzzing the forums eager to try the new items promised. Well. It’s here now and Home is buzzing with avatars trying out the new emotes, dance moves, poses, games and unlocking new reward items on Home. Here is what was updated on Home…

The new SingStar space is finally open with an animated dancing floor, music video jukebox and a special VIP room currently featuring UK rapper Dizzee Rascal with a store kiosk selling virtual Dizzee merchandise in celebration of the release of his newest CD, Tongue n’ Cheek.

A new mini-game has been added in the FarCry 2 Home Space to Rueben’s office called “Reuben’s Report.”

And, for those who are used to going back to your personal space to unwind and redecorate with your newly earned items, you may find your Alcove Set from the Siren: Ward of Despair game replaced with a rather large knight in shining armor standing in their space instead this week.
