Vita may not play Game Archive downloads
Attention potential PS Vita early adopters! Your game library just took a pretty big hit. As we all know, both of the Sony consoles available right now, the PS3 and PSP, have the ability to play Game Archive games. That’s what they’re referred to in Japan. Here, we like to think of them as PSOne Classics or TurboGrafx-16 ports. So you can hop on the PlayStation Store, pay between $6 and $10, and download some of your favorite golden oldies. That may not happen with the Vita.

Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV arriving on PSN September 20
Time to savor and remember the classics as two of Square Enix’s best games are heading to the North American PlayStation Store. Well, technically they’re two of Square’s best games, but let’s not quibble. Instead, let’s just be happy that we’ll be able to play Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV on our PS3s and PSPs since both games are becoming PSone Classics September 20, 2011….
PS Plus subscribers getting 10 free games in September
September is a good month to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber. This month, subscribers will have the pleasure of downloading 10 free games. Starting with tomorrow’s update, subscribers will get three PSN games – Plants vs. Zombies, Altered Beast and Astro Tripper. The rest of the month will offer up PSone Classics, full game trials and lots of discounted content.
MonkeyPaw brings PS3 and PSP owners Rapid Angel and Yakiniku Bugyou
One of the great things about the PlayStation Store is that there’s an import game section, where North American PS3 and PSP owners can pick up PlayStation games that never made it out of Japan. Well, until now that is. MonkeyPaw has been the most active force behind bringing Japanese originals to those of us who have always wanted to play them, and has just brought two new gems to the PlayStation Store today. Neither Rapid Angel or Yakiniku Bugyou are widely known, but both are unique and welcome additions to the overall game library.
Yakiniku Bugyou is a puzzle game, where players are cooking up some barbecue for demanding customers…
Square PSOne Classic influx continues with Legend of Mana
The Square classics just keep arriving on the PlayStation Store. Square Enix is now preparing Legend of Mana the fourth mana game, for a North American release tomorrow. Took the company long enough! Legend of Mana has been a Japanese PSOne Classic since July 2010!
Legend of Mana is the only Mana game to utilize the Land Make system…
Xenogears becomes a PSN game tomorrow
An oft requested, PlayStation Store wish is about to be granted. Xenogears, a classic PlayStation game that PS3 and PSP owners have craved for years, is finally going to be added to the PSN. If you log onto your PSP or PS3 after around 6pm CST on February 22, 2011, you should find Xenogears waiting for you in the PSone Classics section. Hurray…
PlayStation Store Update: Trick or Treat! Halloween themed games and more (October 11 to 19, 2010)
This week’s downloadable PlayStation 3 game is Dead Space Ignition for $4.99. In this prequel to Dead Space 2, players follow the story of an engineer named Franco Delille and his partner Sarah Andarsyn who find themselves stranded when the Necromorph outbreak occurs and must make their way across the Sprawl to multiple locations to hack into the system and escape. This game is actually a graphic novel that tells the story of the events that take place before Dead Space 2 but players do get a chance to help Franco hack into the computer through mini-games to try and contain the virus from spreading further in the ship…

This week’s downloadable PlayStation 3 game is Final Fight: Double Impact for $9.99, which is actually two arcade classics in one.
This week’s PlayStation Portable Download is Mimana: Iyar Chronicle for $34.99 and features a blend of traditional RPG elements and fast-paced battles in a slightly 3D environment and animated cut scenes.

PlayStation Store Update: Classic games galore, awesome bonus content (December 6 to 12, 2009)
This week’s featured download is Call of Duty Classic, a must have for all Call of Duty fans. This first-person shooter originally released for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and N-Gage in October 29, 2003, is now available for $14.99.
The next featured download is actually a demo. For those who read Christian Morlotte’s review of Bayonetta and can’t wait for the demo, you don’t have to wait any longer. The Bayonetta demo is now available for download free at the PlayStation Network Store.
