PlayStation Plus subscription service available June 29, 2010, for PS3, PSP
When the PlayStation Network launched November 2006, rumors began to spread about a fee-based system being implemented to use any network services currently available on the PlayStation 3 (including fees to use online gaming connection, chat or messaging services and access to the PlayStation Network Store).
At E3 2010, Sony confirmed that the existing PlayStation Network will remain free. The only service that will be available for an annual fee is the new optional subscription service called PlayStation Plus that will launch June 29, 2010.

Qore predicts Heavy Rain on February 16, 2010, Sony says not until February 23, 2010 (updated)
If you own a PS3 and you’re eagerly anticipating Sony’s Heavy Rain, then check out Qore when you get home. It’s got a nice little blurb in it about Heavy Rain, and that happened to leak a possible release date. According to Qore, the game will be released February 16, 2010.
However, Sony has just announced via the PlayStation.Blog that the Qore release date is off by a few days, and Heavy Rain will be out February 23, 2010. GameStop was backing up Qore, as its Heavy Rain listing showed a February 16, 2010 release date as of 11:02am CST on January 8, 2010. That’ll probably be changing to the correct date pretty soon.
If this is the first you’re hearing about Heavy Rain, here’s why there’s a lot of hype surrounding it…
Matt Hazard lands on the PlayStation Store
Matt Hazard: Bloodbath and Beyond headlines today’s PlayStation Store offerings. The $14.99 downloadable sequel to last year’s not-so-great 3rd person shooter had shed its AAA-aspirations for a cool-looking old-school aesthetic, a move that can only be described as “wise”.
PlayStation Store Update: Classic games galore, awesome bonus content (December 6 to 12, 2009)

The next featured download is actually a demo. For those who read Christian Morlotte’s review of Bayonetta and can’t wait for the demo, you don’t have to wait any longer. The Bayonetta demo is now available for download free at the PlayStation Network Store.
And, as usual, a big ol’ list o’ goodies…

June 2009 Qore reveals PSP Go is real
The PSP Go isn’t a rumor, it’s a reality. And, thanks to the early arrival of June’s Qore, we don’t have to wait until E3 2009 to hear all about it. Game Console Network was the first to bring up the news, reporting on the new console’s features. PlayStation LifeStyle was next on the scene with pictures of the PSP Go’s box.
It seems that a lot of the information from the rumors is true. The PSP Go is going to come with 16gb of memory, and the rumor stated that the system would have either 8gb or 16gb internal memory. The rumor also said that it would have no UMD drive and be out by September, 2009. The video confirms this and gives a Fall 2009 release window for the handheld.
Also, remember 1Up’s story on the rumored PSP Go. It stated that PSP Slide and PSP Flip were also code names for the new system. The PSP Go’s screen slides up to reveal a directional pad, X, O, triangle and square action buttons and a single analog stick…
