Gamertell Review: Archibald’s Adventures for iPhone, iPod Touch

Archibald’s Adventures makes its platformer debut on the iPhone and the iPod Touch with quite the praise behind it. Before being ported over to Apple’s handhelds, Archibald was skating across PC, Mac and even PocketPC screens where it delighted the lot of people who played it.

Keeping that in mind, I went along Archibald’s Adventures with some expectations most of which were pleasantly realized…

Guide Archie through Archibald’s Adventures

Independent games are always worth a peek, as you never know if the studio making them is going to be huge someday. Rake In Grass has just released a new action/puzzle game for Mac and PC users called Archibald’s Adventures. Its your standard “get from point A to B without dying” sort of game, with 114 unique levels, and it looks like the kind of title retro game fans will enjoy.

See, Archie and Professor Klumpfus (a mad scientist who doesn’t seem like all that bad a guy), are stuck in the Professor’s mansion. Apparently, Klumpfus wasn’t top of the class at Mad Scientist U., as he messed up an experiment. All the lifeforms he was working on escaped and his security system has buckled down. It’s up to Archie to get through all of the levels of Archibald’s Adventures and set them both free.
