Gamertell Review: Red Steel 2 for Wii
Red Steel 2 is full of style. It’s a western with motorcycles, trucks, swords and crazy samurai dudes in face paint. The hero (named The Hero) wears one of those long coats that look fantastic blowing in the wind, even though it tends to happen when there’s no wind. But the game is not about style, it’s about sword play. Providing nearly 1:1 motion recognition, no other game has come this close to delivering such an immersive sword fighting experience. But that’s not completely a good thing.
E3 2009: The 10 best games announced for the Wii
E3 2009 is all over now and the games have all been announced. It’s time to look at the best of the best, specifically for the Wii.

E3 2009: More about Red Steel 2 (with photos)
One of the big games highlighted by both Ubisoft and Nintendo at this year’s E3 was Red Steel 2, a sequel to the Wii launch title Red Steel.
A Wii exclusive, it’s a first-person-action-game where you wield a sword and pistol, blocking bullets with your katana, hacking and slashing opponents and firing precision shots using the Nunchuk attachment. You’ll fight up to six opponents at once with one-to-one control of your katana thanks to the WiiMotionPlus attachment.
E3 2009: Recap of Ubisoft’s press conference
They sure dragged that one out. Ubisoft’s press conference lasted two hours with a lot of talking, a couple big-name celebrities and very little actual game footage.
The focus was on what they liked to call “confluence,” bringing games together with other media including movies, the WiiMotionPlus, the wireless skate deck controller and the web.
Games on display included Assassin’s Creed 2, Red Steel 2, Rabids Go Home, Your Shape and many others…
