Gamertell Review: Zibits Mini Remote Control Robots

Senario has just released a new line of toys for kids of all ages called Zibits. Zibits are tiny, remote controlled, battery operated robots that are designed to be both functional and inexpensive. The first run has 12 different “characters,” each with a different design. All of their basic functions are the same though – you press the directional stick on the remote one of two directions, and it moves around while its eyes light up and the controller makes noises.

One of the first things I thought when I first saw my Zibit (Tank), I was struck by how cute it was. He’s just about two inches tall, and two inches wide as well. His body is made of a hard, plastic shell. His arms, however, are made of a more flexible plastic. You can move them around and position them as you wish. They also have little claw shaped hands at the end, which can easily be pried open slightly with your fingers to put an item (like a pen or note) inside. Both of his green eyes light up when you press on the remote, which is a nice touch…

Target’s retro toys holiday gift cards

OK, so this year’s high-tech holiday gift cards are arguably lower tech than previous years but they are still kinda cool.

This year’s cards are more retro style toys than high tech gadgets. Each requires that you $25 on it before you can take it home or you can order it online for an additional $1.95 for shipping and handling. And, no, they don’t simply have blinking lights or silly sounds, a standard feature in some of the thicker-than-credit-card style gift cards.
