E3 2011: Mario Kart 3DS races into our hearts this holiday season

We all knew Mario Kart was headed to the 3DS. Now we have a lot more details about the release, thanks to Nintendo devoting a few minutes to it during it’s E3 2011 press conference and having it playable on the show floor. Retro Studios and Nintendo’s newest racer may look a lot like it’s predecessors, but it has a few special extras that set it apart.

The Game Cube games Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes have been updated for the Wii. They’ve been touched up here and there, they’ve been converted to widescreen and they’ve been blessed with the WiiMote-Nunchuck combo. Retro Studios takes break from Metroid Prime

“We are taking a break from the Metroid series and from Samus”, said series director and Retro, Mark Pacini during a video interview on Yahoo Games. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption which shipped for the Nintendo Wii console last week was the series third and final installment.
