Man arrested after tunneling into GameStop
There are at least two crimes I thought no one these days would attempt. The first is robbing moving trains. The second is tunneling into a business with the intention of robbing it. That’s exactly what one Tennessee man did to a GameStop on January 4.
Over 100 copies of CoD: Black Ops stolen from Maryland GameStop
A GameStop in Maryland was robbed over the weekend by individuals armed with semi-automatic guns. The suspects struck the store on Saturday night right before closing. Police arrived around 9:20pm, but not before the robbers got away with four cases of Call of Duty: Black Ops. The cases were reported to contain over 100 copies of the game.
Former GameStop employee turned GameStop robber gets 40 years
Gregory Reaux, 29, did not take to his dismissal from a Hammond, LA, GameStop too well.

Man tries to buy PS3 in parking lot, gets robbed instead

Burglar is caught thanks to Xbox Live
A boy from New York (US) and his Xbox Live account helped in capturing a burglar that had participated in almost 200 robberies. The man, called Jeremiah Gilliam, had broken into cars and homes and stolen all kinds of electronic equipment including GPS devices, video game consoles and computers.
The boy’s Xbox 360 had been stolen earlier and while playing using someone else’s console, he noticed that his Xbox Live tag was being used at that moment. He and his parents called the police and they were able to track the IP address being used to a home in the Bronx.
Bank robber caught purchasing games with dye-stained cash
Eric Hawkins robbed Bremerton Key Bank in 2006, getting away with $12,000 but also bringing along a dye pack that went off after the crime.
Somehow Hawkins managed to escape capture until earlier this year. As the following exploits prove, we can’t blame his criminal mastermind abilities for him evading capture.
Thinking he had gotten completely away with it, Hawkins decided using the dye-stained cash to buy video games wouldn’t raise any suspicion. He guessed wrong, as Bremerton authorities tracked down “Gerald Lewis” (the alias Hawkins was using when spending the money) earlier this year.
