Grand Theft Auto IV has been out for less than a year and is probably the best game in the series so far. It goes without saying that we will eventually see a sequel to the game, but we never expected it to be this soon. PSU is quoting issue 190 of Game Informer that talks about a new game in the GTA universe looking to be released by the end of 2009.

The article says the new game is a full game and not just downloadable content. It will be set up as side stories much like GTA: Vice City and San Andreas were. There aren’t any specific details about the game but Tokyo is a possible setting…

Another year and another Video Game Awards show. Better known as SpikeTV’s VGAs, this will be the sixth year for the show.

Love it or loath it the show will go on in full spectacle that will include a performance by rapper turned-video game character, 50 Cent, and a “Gamer God” award for Will Wright.

The list this year looks fairly promising without too much of one game in your face like last year’s seven nominations for a certain alien-shooting game and a game about an undersea dystopia.
