Blizzard begins Starcraft II closed beta
That’s right, Starcraft fans. Starcraft II has finally entered closed beta. That means, of course, that you have to receive invitations from the company to play but, heck, at least it’s happening.
Beta testers are also getting a look at the new and improved Battle.net which will eventually collect World of Warcraft, Starcraft II and any future products into one streamlined service. Now it’s time to sit and pray for an invite. Though maybe we could all just compile a list of the things we’d do for a key and then pray that Blizzard sees it. Aeria brings Dreamlords: The Reawakening to North America
Aeria Games has quite an impressive library of free-to-play massive multiplayer online (MMO) games. But there’s been one area where its lacking – real-time strategic rpgs. In fact, they can even issue directives from anywhere, so long as they have access to a computer with a browser and internet. They won’t be able to experience everything without downloading the program, but they can keep up-to-date on events and issue orders.

Some titles including Wolfenstein or Blazing Angels have thrown a little sci-fi or horror into the mix, but these games have been generally well received despite the fact that they haven’t been completely based more »
Rob Pardo, of Blizzard, talks to MSNBC
MSNBC posted a recent interview they had with Blizzard’s Vice President of Game Design, Rob Pardo. The article is all about an underachieving indy game recently announced. All kidding aside, it’s a great article about the development of Starcraft 2. It’s also nice to see that a major media outlet like NBC has some quality more »
