Animus

The next Assassin’s Creed, whether it’s called Assassin’s Creed 3 or not, will apparently take the stabbing action to 18th century America. CVG is citing a source that says Ubisoft is targeting the American Revolution as the next major conflict to explore the Assassin’s Creed series.

Rumor: Resident Evil 6 has two male leads

Rumor: Wii U will support web browsing and third party apps

Wii U

Much about the Wii U is still a mystery. Nintendo’s next console is changing how we view a typical controller by allowing it to work independently from the console itself. The Wii U controller basically acts as a second screen, therefore allowing games to be played without a television. With a concept such as this, one has more »

Xenoblade will be a GameStop exclusive in North America (update)

So. Xenoblade Chronicles. Ever since Europe received a localized version of this supposedly awesome action RPG, there’s been quite a bit of heartbreak here in North America. There have been petitions, the Project Rainfall movement and some people even just gave up and found a way to make the European copy play on their North American Wiis. It seems like all that may have had some effect, because a NeoGAF poster is reporting that Xenoblade Chronicles is now showing up in the stores’ systems. Even more surprising, it’s labeled as a GameStop Exclusive. Which means, if this news is true, GameStop will be the only place to find Xenoblade.

Now normally, I wouldn’t bother posting it. It’s a rumor, after all. One that Wii owners are especially sensitive about, since Nintendo seemed to take such a strong stance against Xenoblade, Last Story and Pandora’s Tower. Except for one thing.

September 13 3DS conference will supposedly show off lots of games

It’s rumor time! Ever since Nintendo’s announced that special 2011 3DS conference to be held September 13, 2011, just before the 2011 Tokyo Game Show, people have been trying to figure out what will go on there. Back when the conference was first announced at the beginning of September, everyone kept thinking it would focus on a new version of a 3DS with a second analog stick, or an second analog stick peripheral. Well, Famitsu has already confirmed that Monster Hunter Tri G add-on, but it seems other Japanese blogs and sites are reporting the conference will focus more on future 3DS games than hardware…

Rumor: New 3DS model coming in 2012

Nintendo’s 3DS has not been the runaway success a lot of people thought it would be. We can blame it on software or 3D in general, but something about the handheld wasn’t resonating with the public. That is why Nintendo cut the price of the 3DS to $169.99 not six months after its North American debut. That may not be the end to this story. A french site named 01.net claims Nintendo is currently creating a new version of the 3DS.

Walmart may apply 3DS price drop early

Don’t buy a Nintendo 3DS right now. The price is going to drop to $169.99 on August 12. Furthermore, anyone who purchases a 3DS before then will be official Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors. This prestigious title will grant every “early” 3DS owner access to 10 Game Boy Advance Virtual Console games and 10 NES Virtual Console Games. However, Walmart may drop the price ahead of the official date.
