Minecraft developer has earned $350,000 in one day
There’s a indie game called Minecraft that is currently taking the gaming scene by storm. Minecraft is one of those games where you have to make your own fun. You have to hunt for resources in order to build structures. There are also monsters in the game that you can fend off by using those same resources. It’s one of those games that has to be experienced before you truly understand what’s going on. No one would blame you for taking a chance on Minecraft because the game is selling like crazy.
Hands-on with the Crackdown 2 demo
The demo lets you choose between four different character models and a few armor colors, and then drops you right into the action, sadly without any mention of the story. Also you only have about 30 minutes to try it out.
You start in the middle of a firefight against a group called The Cell. These guys are your main opposition in the demo and they are scattered around the city. Crackdown 2 has a day-night cycle and at night Freaks come out in packs. These guys are mutants, apparently affected by a virus, so even though the ones I faced were really weak, I guess they will get stronger as the game progresses.
Mount & Blade gallops into the sunset September 16, 2008
The PC game Mount & Blade, from Paradox Interactive and TaleWorlds Entertainment, has a solid release date. On September 16, 2008, people in North America will be able to purchase the medieval title. Europeans will have to wait three days until September 19, 2008 for their chance to play.
Mount & Blade is a sandbox style action rpg for single players, which can also be played from either a first or third person perspective. Player explore Calradia as a mounted soldier who can do whatever he wishes – you can travel alone, form an army or even manage villages. It is also designed to be a very realistic game, as there are no instant heal potions, your actions have consequences and you really have to think before you attack.
