Prepare yourself for Hello Kitty x Street Fighter merchandise

Capcom had quite a surprising announcement at the San Diego Comic-Con 2011. No, it isn’t that the Mega Man Legends 3 cancelation was just a big joke. Brace yourself, as Capcom is going to team up with Sanrio for Hello Kitty x Street Fighter.

Don’t get confused, Hello Kitty x Street Fighter isn’t a game like Street Fighter x Tekken or Marvel vs. Capcom

Hello Kitty Online teams up with Toys for Tots

Hello Kitty Online wants to make charity fun this holiday season. Sanrio Digital is partnering with Toys for Tots and all North American players’ actions effect donations. If players collect certain item drop items and turn them in to HKO Game Masters, they’ll get an in-game gift for their character and help a real little girl or boy in the real world get a Christmas surprise.

The catch is that there are a lot of items players have to collect and they must be turned in to a Hello Kitty Online GM between December 6 – 8, 2010…

Hello Kitty Online now available in stores

There’s good news for Sanrio fans with internet connections too slow to download Hello Kitty Online – you don’t have to! If you have $19.99, you can pick up the Hello Kitty Online Premium Edition instead. The packages have already shipped to stores and you can get the game on a DVD if you live in North America or Europe…

Important Importables: Sanrio

Everyone has heard of Sanrio, thanks to Hello Kitty. Her fame has made the company a household name. But she isn’t the only famous character the company has created, and Sanrio isn’t just about cranking out assorted Hello Kitty products for cash. (Though it does create a lot.)

Sanrio’s been around for over 30 years, and has accomplished quite a bit in that time. It’s created a profitable line of adorable mascot characters, and successfully branched out into anime series, amusement parks and video games…

Majesco’s throwing a Hello Kitty Party, and all DS owners are invited

Majesco has decided the best way for the company to honor Hello Kitty’s 35th anniversary is by bringing joy to DS-owning children and Hello Kitty fans with Hello Kitty Party. The game, which will be released November 23, 2009 in North America and is already out in Europe, is a mini-game collection starring Hello Kitty and a number of other iconic Sanrio characters.

The game features Hello Kitty and characters like Keroppi, Badtz Maru, Cinnamon Roll, My Melody, Kuromi, the Twin Stars and some rabbits that I don’t recognize. There are 25 mini-games included and, based on the screenshots, it appears that Hello Kitty isn’t the star of them all. Keroppi, Cinnamon and the Twin Stars all seem to have their own games in the screenshots, so perhaps all of the Sanrio characters will have their own mini-game.

Yes, it looks incredibly simplistic, but kids love these kinds of games…

Important Importables: Celebrate Hello Kitty’s 35th anniversary with 35 Hello Kitty games

On November 1, 2009, Hello Kitty celebrates her 35th birthday. Funny, she doesn’t look that old. It’s also her twin sister Mimmy’s birthday too, but she’s not the famous one so nobody really cares about her. She’s just part of the entourage.

Anyways, in honor of Hello Kitty’s 35th, Important Importables has put together a list of 35 video and board games with Hello Kitty themes or where Hello Kitty is the star. This way, if there’s a game that looks or sounds interesting, you have enough time to get the games before the first. There are games for US and Japanese systems, old and new, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding something to suit you. In fact, there are two free computer games on our list, and some very affordable iPhone/iPod Touch titles.

Without any further ado, here’s Important Importables Hello Kitty game list…

Have your baby at the Hello Kitty Hau-Sheng Hospital

Let me begin by stating this isn’t some sort of strange joke. Everything you are about to read is absolutely true, and if you go to Yuanlin, Taiwan, you can see it yourself.

Ready? Okay.

There is a Hello Kitty hospital. No, seriously. Tsai Tsung-chi spent more than $3 million to open Hau-Sheng Hospital in 2006 and the entire place is Hello Kitty themed. The place has even received authorization from Sanrio, Hello Kitty’s parent company.

It’s fairly small with only 30 beds and it is a maternity hospital designed specifically for welcoming babies into the world. Every room is filled with…
