Sony Computer Entertainment expands into China
Sony Computer Entertainment is moving into China. According to China Daily, the company will set up shop in the Guangdong province where it will start a training and research and development program. This will be SCE’s first time engaging China’s mainland market. Sony will begin to develop games in the region for its PlayStation brand in addition to training employees in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. SCE’s partnership with Guangdong Animation City will help create games that will be sold to other international regions.
SOCOM 4 released delayed until 2011
Bad news for all the armchair SOCOMs ready to storm the beaches and take down an unsuspecting dictator. On its SOCOM blog, Zipper Interactive confirmed the first-person shooter will be delayed until sometime in 2011. Zipper’s statements indicate the delay is being used to improve the game.

PS3 will live up to its hype in six years
PS3 might not be the hottest selling game console in the world at the moment but, probably, it was one of the most plugged consoles before its launch thanks to its little known cell processing prowess.
Nearly a year into its launch, game developers have generously vented frustration concernign the PS3, labeling it a difficult console to develop games for.
Sony Computer Entertainment’s President, Kaz Hirai, told Playstation Magazine that it can take up to six years for games to fully tap the PS3’s innate potential.
