Iron Man pinball tournaments announced for four cities

Stern Pinball, makers of arcade-quality pinball machines, has announced a series of US pinball tournaments promoting its Iron Man pinball machine.

There are current four locations across the US and the event requires a $5 admission fee. The parties/tourneys all coincide with the movie’s release, May 7, 2010, and Stern promises “4 Grand Prize Winners” (likely one per location). Exact prizes were note indicated.

Casual Friday: Update for August 15-21, 2009

Remember in past weeks when I said the flow of casual games has been rather slow? Well, this week it’s more of a trickle than anything else. This week has been particularly sluggish. You could consider that a good thing though! It’ll give you a chance to catch up on any games you may have missed in the past week or two.

The majority of the games released this week fall right into the puzzle genre. So if you’re fan of hidden object or match-3 games, this is your week. The few exceptions include the indie RPG Laxius Force II and the time management game KinderGarten.

What, you thought was the only big video game event this month? Sillihead.

The casual game industry is having its own gathering July 16-19, 2007, in Seattle, WA, put together bu the Casual Games Association (CGA).
